I am Latosha Kelly a Indie Author of the book "Finding Your Calm" An Essential Meditation Guide also the cofounder of Ladies of Tranquility a (Wellness Sorority) based in Tampa ,FL.I am Originally from Baton Rouge ,LA. and I'm the founder, of New Beginnings Meditation, I began my journey into meditation four years ago while learning the skills to become certified in mindfulness meditation unto about two years ago. I began practicing and reflecting on my experience and the benefits of practicing mindfulness on a daily basis. here we are NBM is birthed and honored to get to share and experience this journey with each of you. We are a Meditation and Holistic Wellness Studio offering effective and complimentary modalities designed to improve the quality of your life. Our Mission is to serve those interested in the Mind, Body and Spiritual Health Connection and to help you along your journey one breath at a time. We feel Meditation is for everyone! In fact I've even started teaching my grandkids ages 3 to 5 years old. I say that to say you don't have to spiritually inclined, or possess any special skill to enjoy it's benefits. These 30-minute classes pull from various traditions and will teach you the "how to" of meditation while incorporating techniques such as Postural Alignment and Breathwork . I will offer history and philosophy and address commonly asked questions to prepare you for your journey. This is a guided class that will leave you coming back for more. If you are LOOKING to start a meditation practice or DEEPEN your current understanding these classes are for you! NBM uses a blend of breathwork mixed with singing sound bowls, gongs and other sound healing instruments. Sound Meditation vibration helps shift the brain shift into a more relaxed state. You feel the physical and mental benefits of this meditation immediately. It is approachable for beginners and has remarkable effects for experienced meditators. Also the use of Essential Oils and Eye Pillows can be added for extra relaxation. Our guided mindfulness meditation class is designed for all levels and wonderful for beginners. This class is the perfect foundation to start a practice and will give you the tools and technique to help you live a more mindful life. Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, be embodied and aware of where we are and what we are doing. And not in an overly reactive or overwhelmed state. Inhaling and exhaling with , also known as "breathwork," is a powerful practice that can bring calm and focus to your mind. To begin, find a comfortable position, either sitting or lying down. Close your eyes and start taking slow, deep breaths through your nose. Feel the air filling your lungs, expanding your abdomen.

As you inhale, focus on the sensation of the breath entering your body, as you exhale, let go of any tension or distractions. Allow your mind to settle on the rhythm of your breath, being fully present in each moment.
With the help of , you can enhance your meditation experience. We can guide you through various breathing techniques, such as box breathing or alternate nostril breathing, to further deepen your connection with your breath and inner self.
Remember that thoughts might arise during the practice, and that's perfectly normal. Acknowledge them without judgment and gently bring your attention back to your breath.

Hey everyone, here are three things I'd like to share with you and that you can do these anywhere for your mental health,
NUMBER 1 Practice mindfulness and meditation, engaging in mindfulness exercises and meditation can help reduce stress, improve focus, and promote emotional well-belling. I can't say this enough or stress the value you get from these practices so I'm asking you 🫵🏽 to try them. secondly regular physical activity releases endorphins, which can boost your mood and reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. take notice of how you are feeling and your mood (feeling down, sad, are angry get up and take a walk outside take a deep breath of fresh air. and Lastly Connect with others we are social beings so maintaining social connections and talking to friends or family can provide emotional support and help you feel more connected and supported something everyone wants and needs a connection an support.

Anyway those are the three things anyone can do to support your mental health and overall well-being.

When you feel like your back is against the wall and your world around is crumbling down, staying motivated can be somewhat challenging, it requires you to have a gentle and compassionate approach to yourself. Here are some strategies to help you navigate these challenging times and maintain your motivation that I have practiced and still use to this day :

Acknowledge your feelings its essential to acknowledge and honor your emotions during difficult moments. Allow yourself to feel whatever arises without judgment or suppression.
Seek support reach out to a trusted friend, family member, or a professional counselor who can lend a listening ear and offer guidance.
Focus on small steps when the world seems overwhelming, break tasks into smaller, manageable steps. celebrate each accomplishment, no matter how small, as they contribute to your healing journey.
Set realistic goals setting achievable and realistic goals for yourself rather than trying to fix everything at once. prioritize what is most important and take one step at a time towards your healing and well-being.
Cultivate positivity practicing gratitude daily will shift your focus towards the positive aspects of your life.
Mindful practices are a great way to engage in deep breathing, or yoga to anchor yourself in the present moment. Mindful practices can help reduce anxiety and provide clarity during difficult times.
