Today, we have been made aware that Whooping Cough has made its way into our area. 🦠 We want to protect our babies from this nasty respiratory illness as much as possible! Babies are able to get a pertussis vaccine that can help prevent or lessen the symptoms of this illness starting at 2 months of age. Call us at (225) 271-1040 if you have any concerns on whether your child has been vaccinated or not.

Whooping cough vaccines work but aren't perfect. For people who've been vaccinated but still get whooping cough, their illness is generally milder. Babies and children who haven't had all recommended whooping cough vaccines are more likely to get serious complications.

Whooping cough vaccines are the best way to protect against whooping cough. *️⃣*️⃣
