Welcome friends! Over the last two years I have let other things dictate my life and health. From a new marriage, a bonus daughter, welcoming newborns, to raising my three daughters through turbulent times in our nation. Here are a few things I have learned along the way.
1.When under pressure we act reflexively.
When times get hard, when the pressure is on, we fall back to what is comfortable. Whether that is staying home on the couch or choosing easy sweets over something that may take longer to make. Making good habits your reflex means you won't waiver when under pressure. More recently I heard this phrase, "Pressure can create diamonds or pressure can burst pipes. How do you allow pressure to change you?"
2.Action comes first, then motivation.
Motivation always second. Waiting till you have the motivation to do something will leave you never getting started. Action always comes first whether big or small. If your struggling, small action compounded over time leads to great things. That leads to my third lesson.
3.Compounded action over time will always produce results.
Consistency plays a role in our life whether we want it to or not. We can consistently take momentum-building steps that will move us forward or we can consistently quit or never get started.
I realized the amount of time I have in a day to work on my self was limited. So I am choosing actions that will compound the most effectively to reach my goals. Here are three things I have been working on to take actions, make changes, and produce results.
-Drinking 30 oz of water when I wake up in the morning
-One house chore completed each day
-Implementing a 3 Day fasting reset each month with daily supplements to fill the gaps.
-Praying/Meditating Daily
-Intentional Movement, even if it is a 10 minute yoga session because that is all I have time for that day.
