My entire life it seemed as if the universe was gently nudging me in the direction of yoga. So as I got older and began to discover yoga I was intrigued to find something that fit me so perfectly. A yoga practice offers a way to take care of the body, keep the mind calm and at ease, provide subtle life lessons, and introduce one to a spiritual connection to their own divine self. My yoga practice has been largely self-taught, while using all available resources I have at hand. Learning in this way helps me to offer well balanced yoga classes that cater to the needs of individuals from all walks of life. It's not just about going deep into the poses but going deep inside yourself to let your authentic light shine. I feel honored to be able to share something I am so passionate about. My ultimate goal as a yoga teacher is to simply bring more peace and happiness into my students lives.

Deep rest is different from sleep.

It’s the kind of rest where the body feels supported, the breath slows naturally, and the nervous system shifts out of “doing” mode. It’s the space where repair, clarity, and emotional steadiness begin.

Many of us are tired, but not truly restored. We push through stress, stay mentally engaged, and rarely give ourselves permission to fully settle. Over time, that constant activation can show up as poor sleep, anxiety, irritability, brain fog, and burnout.

Deep rest allows the body to recalibrate. It improves sleep quality, reduces stress, supports emotional regulation, and creates more sustainable energy.

In March, I’m offering The Art of Deep Rest: 5 Week Online Yoga Nidra Series meeting Monday nights at 7:00 PM EST. Each session is fully guided and accessible to all levels. Recordings are included so you can practice throughout the week.

If your system has been asking for rest, this is your invitation.

This Tuesday, our word of the week is Steady.

In a world that can feel fast and uncertain, we come together to find steadiness through breath, gentle movement, and community. Step by step, breath by breath, we support one another and remember that we are not alone.

We are grateful to be guided this week by our teacher, Martha, as we continue this journey together with care and compassion.

In Ayurveda, food carries qualities — warming or cooling, grounding or light, stimulating or calming.

Understanding these qualities helps us make choices that support our constitution and the season we’re in.

There’s a reason we reach for soup in the winter and salads in the summer. We already have a natural inclination toward these rhythms. Ayurveda simply helps us name them — and work with them more intentionally.

Join me Saturday, February 28th from 11:00–12:15pm at Be Rooted Yoga in Lexington. We’ll explore Vata, Pitta, and Kapha through movement, breathwork, meditation, and practical daily suggestions you can begin using right away.

To support embodied learning, we’ll experience Ayurveda through mindful nourishment. A small snack table and herbal teas will offer a sensory way to understand how food carries qualities — warming, cooling, grounding — and how those qualities influence balance.

$35 - Limited to 16 participants. Reserve your spot and come explore Ayurveda in a way that is grounded, practical, and lived.

I just shared a new guided Nyasa-inspired breathing practice on YouTube.

This is a simple, grounding exercise that pairs steady breath with gentle finger tracing. As you lightly trace your thumb along each finger, the sensation of touch gives your mind something tangible to focus on. It helps draw awareness out of racing thoughts and back into the present moment, making it easier to settle the nervous system.

It’s especially supportive when you’re feeling distracted, overstimulated, anxious, or just in need of a reset during the day. The practice is subtle and portable — you can do it seated, standing, or anywhere you can comfortably use your hands.

Move at your own pace and breathe in a way that feels natural for your body. There’s nothing to force — just a steady return to ease.

You can find the full practice here:

If you try it, I’d love to hear how it feels for you.

Which of these kinds of classes appeal to you or feel like something you’d want to practice?
• Guided meditation / nervous system support
• Strength-focused or fitness-style classes
• Power/ flow styles
• Gentle, slower-paced sessions
• Chakras / Mudras / Mantras and other tools

I want the online space to feel useful and supportive — so your input truly helps shape what comes next.

I just want to share how much I truly love and appreciate this community. If you’ve ever practiced with me — once, occasionally, or regularly — you hold a special place in my heart. The shared breaths, the quiet moments, the trust and presence you bring… it all means more to me than words can say.

Teaching isn’t just something I do; it’s something I feel deeply called to. Every person who has trusted me with their practice has helped shape this space, and even if it’s been a while since we’ve been on the mat together, you’re still part of this community. Still part of my heart.

So much love to each of you today 🤍
