💘How is your Grief Showing up?

Grief doesn’t just live in the heart or mind — it moves through the body. 💔
Here’s how grief commonly shows up physically, even when we don’t realize that’s what’s happening.

🧠 Nervous System
• Chronic fatigue or heaviness
• Brain fog, forgetfulness, difficulty focusing
• Feeling numb, dissociated, or “on edge”
• Sleep disruption (insomnia or sleeping too much)

💓 Heart & Chest
• Tightness or pressure in the chest
• Shortness of breath, sighing, shallow breathing
• Heart palpitations
• Ache in the heart space (often described as a literal pain)

🫁 Breath & Throat
• Lump in the throat
• Difficulty swallowing or expressing emotions
• Holding the breath unconsciously
• Frequent throat clearing

🧍🏽‍♀️ Muscles & Fascia
• Shoulder, neck, and jaw tension
• Upper back pain (protective hunching)
• General body stiffness or heaviness
• Clenching teeth or fists

🍽 Digestive System
• Loss of appetite or emotional eating
• Nausea, bloating, stomach pain
• IBS-like symptoms
• Gut sensitivity (the gut is deeply tied to emotion)

🦵 Immune & Hormonal Response
• Getting sick more often
• Inflammation or flare-ups of chronic conditions
• Hormonal imbalance (especially during prolonged grief)
• Changes in menstrual cycles

🦶 Energy & Grounding
• Feeling unsteady or disconnected from the body
• Cold hands and feet
• Low motivation or inability to “move forward”
• Exhaustion that rest doesn’t fix

🍃The Benefits of a Grief Coach🍃

Grief is not something to fix.
It is something to be witnessed,
understood, and carried with care.

A grief coach offers presence
when the world expects you to move on.
They create a space where your loss
does not need to be minimized,
explained, or rushed.

With a grief coach, you are allowed
to speak the unspeakable—
the anger, the guilt, the relief,
the love that still aches.
Nothing is too much.
Nothing is wrong.

A grief coach helps you understand
that grief has no timeline,
no correct shape,
no finish line to cross.
Instead, they guide you
in learning how to live alongside it,
without losing yourself.

They offer tools for the days
when the weight feels unbearable—
breathwork, grounding, rituals, reflection—
gentle practices that bring the body
back into safety.

A grief coach does not walk ahead of you
or pull you forward.
They walk beside you,
matching your pace,
reminding you that healing
does not mean forgetting.

Through compassionate guidance,
you learn that your grief
is a reflection of love,
and that you are allowed
to honor both.

This is not about moving on.
It is about moving with.
With support.
With compassion.
With your heart intact.

🤰🏽Maternal health awareness is sacred work.

🤰🏼A mother’s body is a portal.
Her nervous system holds life, memory, and lineage.
When she is supported, the birth space becomes safer—not just medically, but energetically.

🫂Doula care restores what modern birth often forgets:
• Presence
• Advocacy
• Emotional and spiritual safety
• Continuity of care
• Witnessing without judgment

💫Maternal health awareness reminds us that birth is not only a medical event—it is a rite of passage.

👩🏽‍⚕️When mothers are listened to, believed, and protected, their bodies soften.
When they are supported before, during, and after birth, their healing deepens.
When doula care is honored, maternal mortality decreases and birth trauma lessens.

💖Protecting mothers is ancestral work.
Supporting birth is community medicine.
Caring for the mother safeguards the future.

⭐️Here at A Peace of Mine, you can rest assured with our Doula Packages, you will get the soft support, advocacy , and intentional care you need.

😌”Notice the impulse to escape discomfort. Breathe instead. Stay curious, not critical.”😌

⭐️Let’s talk Yoga and Emotional Intelligence 🧠

🦅 Eagle Pose — Emotional Intelligence & Self-Awareness

Eagle Pose requires balance, focus, restraint, and inner observation—the same core skills that build emotional intelligence.

Why it works emotionally:

🧘🏽‍♀️Builds self-regulation: The wrapping and compression mirror how emotions can feel constricting—this pose teaches you to stay present without reacting.

🧘🏻Enhances awareness: Balancing demands noticing subtle shifts in breath, thought, and sensation.

🧘🏼‍♂️Cultivates empathy: The pose humbles the ego and encourages patience with yourself, which translates into patience with others.

🧘🏾‍♂️Clears emotional stagnation: Opens the upper back, shoulders, and hips—areas where stress and suppressed emotions are commonly stored.

⭐️Energetic lens (chakra-based):
💚Heart chakra: Encourages emotional processing and compassion.
👁️Third eye chakra: Improves discernment and emotional clarity.

💫Remember, to exercise Emotional Intelligence, you must cultivate its upkeep💫

🪾🌳🪾Allow yourself time to grow in whatever season you find yourself in. All too often we expect to go from idea to the moon in a blink of an eye but life doesn’t work that way. In every new venture or transition in life, there’s a space we have to sit in, process, nurture, and cultivate. Don’t miss the chance to become an expert in the lessons and tests within your current space. Sit and be UNCOMFORTABLE while your wisdom and knowledge grows. It’s only uncomfortable for two reasons…1- because it’s unfamiliar or 2- you refuse to be a student and learn. The latter is self-rebellion…but what conditioned part of you is causing such behavior? Are you resistant to change because of habit or are you fearful of the outcome? The truth is, will find its way around you, you just have to figure out if you’re going to get choked by the roots. I highly suggest you Grow with the Flow.

Are you afraid of the Growth Journey? Do you feel your growth has been stunted?

Reach out to us at 🌸A Peace of Mine🌸 let us help you get over the hump.

💫 The mother wound forms when early nurturing felt inconsistent, conditional, emotionally unavailable, or overwhelming. It can shape how we relate to ourselves and others—showing up as people-pleasing, perfectionism, difficulty receiving, boundary challenges, or a deep longing to feel chosen and safe.

⭐️ This live virtual workshop offers a compassionate and safe space to explore the mother wound through gentle education, shadow work, and nervous-system-supportive practices. This is not about blaming mothers, but about honoring your lived experience and reclaiming the parts of you that learned to adapt in order to survive.

🫂 Together, we will:
✅Explore how the mother wound develops and how it shows up in adulthood
✅Identify unconscious patterns rooted in early attachment
✅Practice inner re-parenting and self-attunement
✅Hold space for grief, anger, longing, and self-compassion—without forcing forgiveness

📓🧡This workshop is for anyone ready to deepen self-trust, soften self-abandonment, and begin meeting their own emotional needs with care and clarity.

📝 Bring: A journal, an open heart, and a quiet space to reflect.

🤱🏽The Mother Wound and Your Shadow

The mother wound lives in the earliest layers of the psyche. It forms long before logic, language, or choice—at the point where love, safety, and belonging were first learned through relationship. Because of this, it doesn’t sit neatly in memory. It settles into the nervous system, the inner voice, and the patterns you repeat without realizing why.

⭐️Your Shadow is where this wound often hides.

The Shadow holds the parts of you that adapted in order to survive your early environment. If your mother was emotionally unavailable, overwhelmed, critical, inconsistent, or absent—your system learned something very specific:
This is how love feels. This is what I must do to be accepted. This is what I must suppress to stay connected.

💫Healing the mother wound through Shadow work means:
• Letting the unmet needs finally be named
• Allowing grief for what you didn’t receive
• Reclaiming the emotions you were taught to suppress
• Separating your worth from performance, caretaking, or compliance
• Re-parenting yourself with consistency, attunement, and truth

💖Allow A Peace of Mine to come journey with you and guide you to Your Light at the end of the tunnel.
