✨ F R I D A Y CELEBRATIONS✨

Something I’m celebrating this week is keeping my commitments to myself.

What this looked like this week:
👉🏻all 10 hill sprints when my legs hurt
👉🏻meditating 5 days in a row
👉🏻staying mindful of my water intake
👉🏻working on my coaching business during the time I set aside for it

This is not something that I’ve always been good at. In fact, I find myself needing to checkin with myself to recalibrate often. The reality of being a wife, mom, friend, coach is that I LOVE to take care of my people. AND- I know I can only do that to the best of my ability of I take care of MYSELF too.

🌟SPONTANEOUS TRIP🌟
This little family of mine went to Austin!!
We saw 6th street and ‘Lake Austin’ and went to a cute coffee shop on the water called Mozart’s (cause y’all know I love my coffee)☕️
Spontaneous trips are new for us, and we are awkward at best, but we do what we can.
Also, these trips will be worth it every.damn.time. If my kiddos play and GET ALONG like they did this trip.

Do you ever think:
That thing is so ‘me’!
Or
That thing makes me feel so ‘me’!?
One thing I’m realizing in this midlife-era is that what used to feel like such a strong, static ‘me’ just… isn’t.
My identity is ever evolving and ever expressing in unique ways.

Like my little birthday gift here.
It’s so… NOT ‘me’☺️

But if I allow myself to be me, now, and I allow ‘me’ to be expressed in the flow and abundance of ways that ‘me’ is yearning to be expressed, then this gift is perfect.

Our identity is allowed to shift and rewrite and unfold. It has to if we want to change experience something different.

Providing ourselves with a safe space to be curious is what wellness is all about.

💕Becoming our own safe space to BE is what wellness is all about💕

My Wellness Roadmap is aimed at full embodied expression. And I hold whoever I show up as with tremendous tenderness, respect and admiration.

42 Years Wise today🙏🏼

I say that with the most humility possible.
I only know what I know.
And yet I have a lifetime worth of wisdom.

Some of what I’ve learned so far…
✨loving hard is not a bad thing: doesn’t mean it’s not hard
✨seeing things differently and seeing each other is the whole point
✨allowing people to be who they are has set me free
✨when I am taken care of, my world is taken care of
✨teaching others to be soft with themselves is revolutionary
✨connection - to ourselves - to each other is the best medicine around

What I’m looking forward to the most this next year is watching the expression of my inner world come more to life. ⚡️
I have cultivated a garden of hope, power, vision, wellness and badA$$ery… so y’all better buckle up👊🏼

3 WAYS TO BUILD A HEALTHY & LOVING RELATIONSHIP💘

You can read all the relationship books and do all the workshops that teach you how-to… but unless you start with your own worthiness it will never be what you want.

Here’s the break down on love & worthiness:

1. You are more than what you bring to your relationship.
- are you a breadwinner?
- are you a SAHM?
- are you a scheduler?
Outside of these titles you are a grown ass woman with needs, desires and value.

2. Togetherness has to feel safe, supportive, seen & heard.
- Like all good things, your relationship is living, breathing art.
- It takes many different forms as do you and your partner.
- Learning how to communicate and support each other is a lifelong journey of creating the MOST beautiful mosaic art.

3. Honor your identity: the two of you together… and the two of you apart.
-Jobs, friends, hobbies, these are things you share AND don’t.
- having a sense of yourself when your partner is/ isn’t with you maintains independence
- having a sense of who you are together can create confidence, playfulness, sexiness and pride in your relationship.

Oh, and another big one!

You have to STOP letting society or any source outside of your relationship convince you if it’s good or bad, healthy or not. It’s up to you and your partner to decide what ‘US’ feels like💘

✨YOUR WORTHINESS IS INHERENT✨

Repeat.
You do not have to earn or prove anything to be deserving.

But… we forget it, don’t we?!

Certain seasons in life require us to ‘earn good grades’ or ‘ be a good girl’ in order to receive what it is we want and desire.

Other seasons leave us feeling never good enough and so we ‘don’t deserve’ what we dream of.

Frankly, I’m done with all that.

I am more interested in a self love that exudes worthiness.
I am committed to doing the work DAILY that will remind me over and over that I am worthy.
Until my bones remember that I AM WORTHY.
Until my ego remembers that I AM WORTHY.
Until my soul can rest in the knowing that it came to be in. Worthiness.

And YOU, my dear, are made of the same start stuff that is worthiness.💫
And we might forget again, but we can always return.💫

How to Start a Taking Care of Yourself🌷

Most of us get stuck in the loop of not feeling happy… wanting more… wondering why life is so damn stressful.

Here are the 3 things that will help get you OUT of that loop.

1. MAKE A LIST
We have to accept where we are in order to create something different. So make a list of all the feelings and things in life that are causing your discontent and dissatisfaction.

Then make a list of what you want instead.
What will unfold is a roadmap of things you can start to release, re evaluate and redesign.

2. GET MOVING
I don’t care if it’s walking, swimming, lifting, cross-fitting, boxing, dancing, yoga-ing etc. MOVEMENT is the fastest way to fuel our soul desires and will get us to own the small actions it takes to create the changes we desire in life.

3. DISRUPT THE STATUS QUO
If you’ve always chased weightloss, try self love instead. If you’ve always chased slow and steady, try heart pounding instead. If you’ve always tried doing what someone else told you to to get the results you thought you wanted but it never worked because you were never really motivated by those results😏you’re gonna have to try something different.

But THAT’S how you find your truth.

In order for any sustainable change to be sustainable it’s got to be heart led.

And if YOU truly want to feel taken care of in a way that you never have before, then YOU are going to have to get very good at drowning the sounds of the external world and listening to your own heart🫶🏻

I was on the phone with my sister and it hit me!

It’s like we’re taught that self abandonment is ‘the way’ in marriage and motherhood.

But then… something happens…
A small voice begins to whisper
‘YOU are ready to come back to yourself’

This voice reminds us of the woman we once wanted to become.

MY SECRET MOTIVATION FOR WELLNESS

I love being a mom💗
My kids are my life.

… but I wasn’t SHOWING UP as a very good mom.

I was exhausted
short tempered
distracted
& frustrated
ALL. DAY. LONG.

When my anxiety was at its worst, my kids still needed me.
They hadn’t put me there.

I had.

That was a hard pill to swallow, but when I did we all started to shift.
I started to take better care of myself and we all got better for it.

WHAT MY KIDS & I HAVE GAINED FROM MY WELLNESS ROADMAP

🌸When I express my boundaries they learn to respect me and that it’s good to have boundaries

example: they know when I’m working out it’s my time to get centered

🌸I have more energy to enjoy activities with them

example: they love having a mom who will DRIVE go karts with them instead of sit out.

🌸I don’t blame them for my emotional state

example: they see me use my toolbox to recalibrate & they will do the same

My kids.
My kids are my world.
