When I went into menopause following an oophorectomy, I was almost 40 with a 2.5 year old son who was diagnosed with classic autism a few months earlier. We had speech, OT, feeding therapy, ABA, PPCD on top of my job. Stressful doesn’t even express how life was (up until about him being 8 years old or so).

It’s my official 14 year anniversary at Jackson Lewis. However, I started working there Dec. 15, 2003 but had a 6 month hiatus in 2009 when we moved to Chico, CA. It will be my 20 year “unofficial” anniversary near year’s end.
