THOUGHT THURSDAY:

šŸ’When I look at this, I don’t see a list… I feel a swirl of questions that don’t wait their turn. I notice the part of me that wonders, am I doing enough? Am I loving them in ways they can feel? How do I keep showing up here… and still keep my life moving too? And if I’m honest, there’s a quiet fear underneath it all…
that no matter what I do, it will never feel like ā€œenough.ā€

So today, I’m sitting with those thoughts instead of trying to fix them.

And I’m wondering… What questions does this bring up for you? Which one feels the loudest right now? What would it look like to meet that question with a little more gentleness instead of pressure?

You don’t have to have answers to be doing this with love.

TIP TUESDAY:

Sometimes support sounds like a script we didn’t mean to memorize.

Most of the phrases on this card are offered with good intentions… they come from people reaching, wanting to comfort, wanting to fix what feels unfixable. šŸ’›
But for someone who is grieving, these words can land a little off target.

Grief isn’t a problem to solve. It’s an experience to witness.

Instead of trying to explain the loss or soften it, try this:
✨ ā€œI’m here with you.ā€
✨ ā€œI don’t have the right words, but I care about you.ā€
✨ ā€œTell me about them.ā€
✨ Or simply… sit, listen, and let silence do some of the holding.

Presence will always speak louder than perfectly packaged words.

MOURNING MONDAY:

Today is National Story Day.

And mourning expression … is full of them. Not just the big ones. Not just the beginning or the ending. But the small, ordinary stories that refuse to disappear.

The way they took their coffee. The sentence they always repeated. The moment you didn’t know would matter… until it did.

In this work, I’ve learned something sacred: We don’t lose people instead
we become the keepers of their stories.

Every time we tell one—
out loud, on paper, in passing— we let them exist here a little longer. Not as memory alone.
But as presence.

✨
Today, tell a story. In the comments, or quietly to yourself. What’s a small story about someone you love that still lives in you?

We don’t always talk about the in-between stages of life, but they’re some of the most important.

Jade will be in the shop doing oracle readings tomorrow and also starting a new offering focused on navigating transition.

Today we honor the work that doesn’t rush, fix, or turn away.

On National Death Doula Day, we recognize those who sit at the threshold—
holding space where words fall short, where time bends, where love and loss share the same breath.

Death doulas are not there to lead the moment.
They are there to witness it. To soften fear. To remind us that even in dying, there can be choice, dignity, and care.

In a culture that often looks away from death,
this work is a gentle turning toward presence, toward humanity, toward what matters most.

If you’ve ever been held, guided, or comforted by someone, you know… this is sacred work.

šŸ•Æļø Today, we honor the companions of the final journey.

If this resonates, take a moment to reflect:
What would it mean for you or someone you love to feel supported at the end of life?

SHARING SUNDAY:

Just do one small thing you are transitioning through a threshold. Progress is progress no matter how grand.

Have you heard of the turtle theory? I think we could all learn a lesson from it. Not looking at what others are doing, but focusing on our own path. Knowing that as long as we keep going, we will get to the shore. The idea that just because someone gets there first does not mean they did it best. No, patience, my friends. Slow and steady, just like the turtles. 🐢

SILLY SATURDAY:

šŸ˜‚ Me: trying to relax. This plate: your next.
My brain: ā€˜ā€¦my next what?’

Death: Inevitable.
Apostrophes: Optional, I guess.

FACT FRIDAY:

For National Haiku Day, I’m turning toward a fact at the heart of ancestral legacy work. Ancestral legacy isn’t only about lineage. It’s the living transmission of stories, gestures, and values that continue through us.

Roots remember us
even when our names fade out
their breath carries on

May this small haiku be a reminder that we are shaped by more than our own lifetimes and that what we carry forward becomes part of the story that outlives us.

What ancestral thread has been tugging at your awareness lately?

TIP TUESDAY:

🌿Grief has a calendar of its own.

Sometimes it whispers.
Sometimes it arrives all at once.

Birthdays. Anniversaries. Ordinary days that suddenly aren’t.

Today is my Aunt Leona Bell's birthday. Even though she is no longer here in the ways I once knew her, I find myself thinking of her, feeling her, remembering.

This is what we often call a ā€œtrigger.ā€ But maybe it’s not something to avoid.

Maybe it’s a moment of connection.

If you find yourself bracing for certain dates or surprised by sudden waves, you are not doing grief wrong.

You are remembering.

A gentle tip for today:
When a date feels heavy, create a small ritual to meet it.

Light a candle. Say their name out loud. Tell a story. Pause and breathe them in.

We don’t move on from love. We learn how to carry it differently.
