Maintenance care → Every 2-4 weeks

If you don’t have the D-Minder App, check it out. It can help you learn how to be in better relationship with the sun. Vitamin d is a major player in your health. Get your level checked now with blood work, to see how well you stored what you received over the summer. This will give you an idea if you have enough for the long winter and if you need to supplement. Try to get your levels up to at least up to 50 by the end of the summer. Fall is a great to time to get checked! ✔️

Happy spring equinox! What is everyone doing today? I’m celebrating the spring equinox a little late since I was at work on Wednesday. Today I am off work, so I have time during the ‘D window’ to take in some quality vitamin D from the sunshine. I’m rebooting!No sunscreen and no glasses, just my D-minder app, set to tell me how long I can stay out without getting sunburned. Currently at the latitude of Denver, our D window lasts from 9:49 am to 4:25 pm. It seemed like a long few winter months without having the D window. Do you have knowledge of or practices of circadian biology training? Do you get your D levels checked? If you live above 37 latitude you do not get vitamin D from the sun for a few months in the winter. You can focus on restoring and building your levels now.

For the last year I’ve been studying ketosis. My body and mind likes using fat as energy instead of glucose. I have felt better on so many levels. My brain, hormones, sleep, and energy levels have vastly improved. Getting into Ketosis is not easy! Be conscious of going too fast and experiencing the ‘keto flu’. The above results come from fasting for 3 days. Fasting like this has incredible benefits. While fasting, I drink electrolytes, water, salts, and teas. I also exercise. And I sleep 8+hrs a night. Although the exercise part may be harder for the majority, I think you will notice how well you sleep.
***Always consult a healthcare professional for help before entering Deep Ketosis.
Why do it?
In deep Ketosis Your body produces a large quantity of ketones, primarily coming from the breakdown of fat. During which time, the body uses fat instead of glucose for energy.
Benefits may include:
+reducing inflammation
+blood sugar control
+improved cognitive function
+weight loss
It’s extremely important to hydrate and add in salt and electrolytes while entering deep Ketosis and fasting is not the only way. I also suggest using a keto meter like the one above to monitor your ketone levels. If you get healthy you set the example for everyone in your sphere. It’s so important, especially these days.

Sitting Moon or 'sitting the moon' is the precious time period of rest and recovery after giving birth. Unfortunately, the American culture has no cultural framework for this. Those in healthcare, who provide support during pregnancy and postpartum, here in the USA, do our best to help educate birthing mothers about this.
