This summer has been about nourishing myself, not restricting. These plates aren’t “less food,” they’re better food.✨

I’m not eating less overall, but I’ve been more intentional about what goes on my plate: more nutrients, more balance, more fuel. That shift has been the real difference in my fat loss and my energy.

For anyone who’s wondered what’s been working for me, it’s adding nutrition to meals — Tracking loosely, eating intuitively, and prioritizing consistency over perfection.

And umm speaking of change 👉👈😗I finally updated my username to 🧸.
For years I was .gym.bunny 💪🏼🐰🍑which started as an accountability page back when I was hopping around from gym to gym, chasing competition prep, and paying for 3–4 memberships at a time. But that’s just not me anymore. And while I sometimes mourn that life, I am so thankful for all the discipline it taught me. I need it and utilize it most now🖤.

Now, I’m not hopping, I’m MOVING. Mindfully. Movement with intention. Workouts aren’t just a “weight loss plan” anymore, they’re simply a part of my life. Motherhood, health, and fitness all flow together now and I hope my new username reflects that, a mami in motion.

Here’s to meals that fuel us, movement that grounds us, and names that grow with us. 🥗✨🤘🏼

Save for your next dinner idea 💡

Hi! Idk why but I feel like I’ve been withholding all my content. Don’t ask why bc idek 😅 These recipes were from so long ago and I’m still working on cooking my through this damn cookbook. Leave me alone 😝.

I am actively trying do all these recipes as quick as I can but it’s hard. I think the mental prep work honestly bc the recipes themselves are easy af. Cooking my way through this has been tedious and I’m almost done. I’m skipping all the chapters on stocks and any recipes that I just wouldn’t eat. So I’m almost done.

The mashed potato recipe is something I’m going to save for the fall. And a small detail that I’ve left out is thay it actually requires HOMEMADE almond milk. This whole book actually has a whole chapter just on homemade stocks, soups, sauces, and milks that I, as ambitious as I am, will not be recreating 😅. That is perhaps something I will, if and when, I actually use it.

As a new mom trying to find a groove, aint nobody got time for all that. This is not a Nara Smith household 🙅🏻‍♀️😂. But please save these recipes. And stay tuned for more of my hostage camera roll. 🖤🐰

1. Embracing my current body with my little love. Not a day goes by without gratitude for all it has allowed me to do for myself and my little one. Every day we’re stronger, faster, healing, and nourishing 💕💕💕.

2. This is not my most flattering pic but I am just so happy that I get to go to yoga again. Moving my body feels necessary and appreciated. has the most amazing and friendly staff. Thank you for all your kindness.

3. I never took a pic of this smoothie and I was so underwhelmed at the taste. I think thr further I’m digging into some of the recipes, the more disappointed I’ve been becoming just bc they are boring. This one was mid. I have so many other juice/smoothie recipes that I will share but I figured I’d share it anyway.

4. The last of all the pics are just (non-recipe’d) meal ideas I’ve been eating. I’m actually really proud of myself bc for a few months I was definitely not watching what I eat or counting or anything. Just a free-for-all binge parade of whatever I wanted. However, that’s not who I am and definitely not the lifestyle I want to live or habits I want to pass on. So, I’ve been living a more balanced lifestyle and allowing myself to eat what I want but tracking my intake to stay in a deficit and also increasing my protein intake. I struggle with that so much apparently.

This is why I began tracking. As a person who prefers to eat intuitively, tracking can be quite triggering if you haven’t built the best relationship with food. I don’t recommend tracking for everyone but if you’re a beginner and don’t know where to start, it can be a helpful TOOL along with healthy eating habits.

I’m excited to take my time ans continue pushing forward. There’s nowhere else to go so might as well make it productive ☺️✨.

Recipe dump 🚛

1. These are still the same supplements I’ve been taking with a few updates. I think I’m done breastfeeding, not my choice but my little one’s 😅. She’s just seemed uninterested for a a good while now and I don’t want to push it if it doesn’t come natural.

2-5. 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 - These were the best pancake recipe we’ve tried from the book. The rest SUCK! These came out a little small but they were so filling. I’m like that these pair well with either sweet or savory accompaniments.

6-8. 👎🥞These are the other two pancake recipes we tried. They were HORRENDOUS. If they didn’t burn they were gooey. They tasted like burnt banana. They were slop. I’m posting them anyway in case anyone wants to give it a shot. But IMO, these recipes are the perfect example of why sometimes it’s better to just eat the real thing.

9-10. You can find the recipe for this curry in my “Healthy Gut” highlights reel. Basically, I made too much and I hate it to go to waste so I froze it all and had prepped meals for a couple of weeks.

I also recently started tracking my intake again, reset my goals, and plan of attack. I look forward to sharing all that as that was the point of starting this account 😆.

THREE recipes ✍🏼, ONE dinner 🍽️ , TWO happy people 🥰 - SAVE this post

This is by far one of my more favorite recipes to have tried. The flank steaks 🥩 were juicy and seasoned deliciously. The book suggested homemade beef stock (along with a whole section of other homemade stocks and broths), but ain’t nobody got time for that so I conformed to a somewhat healthy store-bought version.

The potatoes were a little too lemony 🍋 for my taste and could have used addtl seasoning. A lot of the recipes in fact. I use the recipes more as guidelines and add seasoning and light salt sometimes bc they be tasting a little bland sometimes. I need flavor and there’s no reason to fear seasoning 🧂.

The asparagus salad was so good too. It paired well with these other two dishes for crunch and freshness. I love LOVE 𝓁𝑜𝓋𝑒 blanched vegetables. There’s something so satisfying to bite them.

I find that cooking the recipes is not the struggle here but rather trying to figure out what to eat throughout the week. Sometimes a mom doesn’t wanna whip out a healthy ass cute meal. Sometimes I just wanna ✨girl dinner✨ and call it a day 😶‍🌫️.

Happy Father’s day to all the dads out there working hard to take care of their families.

This year I want to wish an extra special day to the man I made a father 😘😆. You’re welcome ☺️🩷.

We went through a lot of firsts together and I’m so grateful it was you and I that made it out together from the trenches. From pregnancy to those newborn days to now enjoying all her milestones, we did it.

You are a very doting and caring father and seeing you make changes to be a better person, better partner, is just a small reflection of the tender, loving father you are. Our princess is so loved and she is lucky to have you.

Thank you for loving us so much. We love you 🧑‍🧑‍🧒👩🏻‍🍼 and our little family is so blessed.🩷

Y a mi Apa que amo tanto tmb le deseo un hermoso y feliz dia del padre. Que Diosito nos siga dando chance de disfrutar de la música 🎵. Ayloviu ❤️

Does life just love extra fast as a parent bc how tf is it almost June!?

Anyway here’s another 2 quick and easy recipes from “The Healthy Gut”.

I’ve never brined chicken before, but I will def be trying this again. It was super easy and the chicken really did stay juicy and didn’t lose it’s flavor.

𝙏𝙞𝙥: Don’t oversalt the chicken when brining so it doesn’t get tough and salty. And only brine for the recommended amount of time.

I ended up using chicken thighs tbh cz that’s what I had and I “grill” on my stove 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’ve had no issues so far.

The “fries” are good too but I wouldn’t go as far as calling them “fries”. It’s basically a healthier alternative to fries. Something I’d try next time is coating them with a little but of corn starch to make them slightly crispy. Also where does one find Yukon Gold potatoes. Bro, i used gold potatoes but idk wtf makes them Yukon 😆 and no labels were around to help me distinguish. Recipes are more like guidelines.

🛟Save this post for your next meal idea. Pair it with some greens for additional fiber.

Here is my poor attempt to catch up on posting some of the recipes I’ve worked through & current supplement hype.

In month 6 postpartum and I think I’m already having regrowth of hair? I can’t really tell, something I haven’t stopped taking in order to help this issue is continuing to take my prenatals along with a liquid collagen in the AM. I’ve lost a lot of hair but I’m also full of new little baby hairs 🤷🏻‍♀️ so we’ll see. has all the supplement products you need & the staff to guide you find what you’re looking for.

As far as the recipes, they are super easy to make. In order to protect the rights of the author’s book, I’ll only be posting the recipes I actually make and how I made them versus publicly publishing her work 😅. Check out the highlights as I tag any associations there!

The Grilled Lemon Salmon recipe was very filling and tasty. A serving size of salmon 🎣 should provide you a full day’s requirement of vitamin D & is a good source for omega-3s. Remember this is all for the betterment of our guts 👾.

The roasted Brussel sprouts surprised me bc I’ve never made em taste good 😅. The balsamic vinegar I used was suggested to be free of sulfites so there I was googling wtf sulfites are. They are in fact an additive in most foods used to maintain food color and shelf life. Some people can have a sensitivity to them but I was just trying to follow a recipe, and they were delicious 🤷🏻‍♀️😋.

Save this post for your next dinner idea. Pair it with some Jasmine rice for some starch and you got an Emily Mariko salmon bowl eve to enjoy the next day too 😁.

Ever since I’ve been focused on gut health, I’ve had a great new perspective to add to how we view eating and nourishment.

Quickly after finishing my book, “The Healthy Gut”, I’ve hyperfixated on cooking a variety of foods with my microbiome in mind. Crazily enough, about a week later Netflux released a documentary about hacking gut health. And the combination of both my book & the personification portrayed in the doc helped me visualize little monitos 👾living in my belly just hungry for good bacteria🦠 .

So now every time I put something in my mouth, I question, “would my gut like this? Omg I gotta feed my gut monsters”.

And isn’t that just a more beautiful way to view food versus the highly stigmatized diet culture we’ve been conditioned to follow??

Two ways I’m feeding my little gut monsters:

🍆 Eating a wide variety of fruits and veggies. Adding new veggies or fruit to my grocery list is part of my personal goals this year.

💊 Taking a probiotic. To stimulate the growth of healthy microorganisms & fight off unfriendly bacteria. Important that it contains 𝘓. 𝘈𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘰𝘱𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘶𝘴 or 𝘉. 𝘣𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘮 as they are the most important strains.

One of my challenges is making an effort to restrict my processed sugar intake. I have a huge sweet tooth 🍪 so keeping processed foods away from them 👾 (and me) is something I battle daily 😅.

But it takes a conscious effort to do so, so stick around, follow along for the story and we’ll see what changes this brings to my body and overall health. 🩷
