Understanding the reality:

Many men struggle to talk about emotional stress—not because they don’t feel it, but because they were never given safe spaces to express it.

From a young age, men are often taught to handle things alone, solve problems quickly, and avoid appearing vulnerable. Over time, that habit becomes a pattern: stress is carried internally rather than shared openly.

Empathy begins when we recognize that silence isn’t weakness—it’s often conditioning.

And when men finally have a space where honesty is met with respect rather than judgment, something important happens:
They speak.

Over the last 30 years, something has quietly changed in the lives of many men.

Research is beginning to show just how serious that shift is.

Here are a few facts worth paying attention to:
• In 1990, only 3% of men reported having no close friends.
• By 2021, that number had grown to 15% of men saying they have no close friendships at all.
(Source: Survey Center on American Life)
• Men account for around 75–80% of suicides globally, according to the World Health Organization.
• Studies in the American Journal of Men's Health show that men are significantly less likely to share emotional struggles, often carrying stress silently.

Isolation doesn’t always look dramatic. Often, it looks like men quietly carrying pressure alone.

That’s why spaces for honest conversation matter.

Men’s peer groups exist to create structured environments where men can speak openly, listen fully, and hold each other accountable. Because connection doesn’t happen by accident.
Connection starts with showing up.

What happens when men stop performing… and start telling the truth?

In this powerful conversation, Dave Mann sits down with Dr. Baruch HaLevi, founders of Men’s Peer Groups, to talk about what happens inside the circle.

Not theory. Not self-help advice.

Real conversations between men who are willing to face themselves, challenge each other, and grow together.

In this episode, Dave shares what MPG has meant for him and why spaces like this matter more than most men realize.

If you’ve ever wondered what actually happens inside a men’s peer group — start here.

Not every man walks into a Men’s Peer Group certain it’s for him. Many arrive skeptical. Unsure what to expect. Wondering if the conversations will be real.

And then something shifts.

Men realize they’re not the only ones navigating pressure, responsibility, and the quiet questions that come with life, leadership, and relationships.

In the circle, something powerful happens:

Men speak honestly. Men listen deeply. Men challenge and support each other.

What begins as curiosity often becomes one of the most valuable spaces a man has in his life.

As Rob Edelstein from Boston shared, the experience of sitting in a room with men facing similar challenges can be truly priceless.

If you're ready to step into conversations that matter, your seat in the circle is waiting.

What happens when a man can no longer look himself in the eye?

In this powerful and deeply personal conversation, Dave Mann and B HaLevi explore the inspiration behind The Guy in the Glass, the book every man needs when facing identity, pressure, and the crossroads of life.

Based on the timeless poem, this discussion goes beyond surface success to examine what it really means to become the man you were meant to be.

This episode is for men wrestling with pressure, identity, financial stress, or silent shame, and for anyone who wants to understand the inner battle many men face alone. Full podcast on March 5 (link in bio).

The Guy in the Glass — the book by Baruch HaLevi — launches May 7, 2026, and is available for pre-order now on Amazon:

Because at the end of the day, you can fool the world…
…but you cannot fool the man in the mirror.

Most men are not strong. They’re controlled.

Controlled by anger they won’t face. By silence they hide behind.
By approval they still chase.

You don’t fix that alone.

You fix it in a room where men call you out, call you forward,
and don’t let you perform.

Men’s Peer Groups is not comfort. It’s confrontation.

This is an overview of the book The Guy in the Glass, 6 Questions To See The Man You Were Meant To Be, launching this May.

We’re starting with Chapter 1 — and over the next few weeks, we’ll be releasing bonus previews of Chapters 1–6.

Chapter One asks a simple question:
What’s your name?
Not the one on your license. Not your title. Not your role. But who you really are beneath the labels.
When Moses asks God His name, the answer is Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh — “I Am.” Becoming. Infinite. Uncontainable.

You are more than a name tag. More than a résumé. More than the roles you play.

This is where the journey begins.
Listen to the reel and follow along each week as we unpack the first six chapters leading up to launch.

If you struggle with nice guy syndrome…

You already know the pattern.
You keep the peace. You avoid the hard conversations. You say fine when you’re frustrated.
You don’t want to rock the boat.
And slowly, you disappear.

This week, Dr. Baruch Halevi’s newest Substack essay confronts the Nice Boy archetype from The Guy in the Glass — the man who traded truth for approval and woke up wondering why his life no longer feels his fully.

But insight alone doesn’t change a man.
Practice does.

That’s why Men’s Peer Groups exists.

MPG is where men stop performing and start integrating, where they practice speaking clearly. Holding boundaries. Leading from integrity instead of approval.

Not louder. Not harsher. Truer.

If this resonates, read the full blog on Substack. Then take the next step.

And if you happen to read this and know of someone who might need to see it — or might need support inside MPG — tag him below, DM us, or visit: www.menspeergroups.com

Vitamin N isn’t found in pills.
It’s found in saying NO—without guilt.

For men, saying NO is an act of responsibility.
It’s choosing integrity over burnout.
Presence over pressure.
Strength over silent exhaustion.

When you say NO, you’re honoring your time,
protecting your energy,
and guarding your peace—
so you can show up fully for what truly matters.

Every NO to what drains you
is a YES to your well-being,
your leadership,
and your brotherhood.

That’s not selfish.
That’s self-respect.
