Members of the global neurosurgery team attended the Integrated Neuro Care Symposium in Chicago to present on their global neurosurgery work in Bolivia.

Luis Cava, MD, presented his collaborative pupillometry research and Marisa Marsolek, PA-C, served as a panelist, sharing her experience training teams in Bolivia in neuro critical care.

The symposium was hosted by Solidarity Bridge, a nonprofit organization that partners with medical communities in Bolivia and Paraguay to increase access to safe, affordable surgery and healthcare.

Kyle Concannon, MD's cancer research uses TKI and CAR T to kill treatment-resistant lung cancer cells. The CAR T used in his research is created in the Fecci Lab, led by Peter Fecci MD, PhD, and Daniel Wilkinson, PhD.

Last week Samy Youssef, MD, PhD, MSc, led the George Ehni Lecture and Workshop as the visiting professor at Baylor College of Medicine. He led a cadaver lab for the residents on complex skull base anatomy and exposures and presented at the neurosurgery department's grand rounds.
