Yes. This. Every day. What Life Do You Want?

One day you’ll look back and think, damn, I really went for it.

Not halfway. Not safely.

You took the risk when nothing was guaranteed and kept going when it got uncomfortable.

You chose the life you wanted over the life that felt acceptable.

It wasn’t clean or confident the whole way.

There were doubts, missteps, and moments you almost quit.

But you stayed in the fight.

Yes. All of this!

You’re up before the sun again. Another shift, another bill to pay, another “just make it through this week.” You keep showing up even when your tank is empty, because you have no other choice. And honestly, that’s just how life is sometimes. Unfortunately, some seasons are purely about survival.

However, if you’re always waiting for life to calm down before you let yourself live, you might miss the living altogether.⁣⁣

We all have goals, and some of us, depending on where we started, have to hustle harder to reach them. But the little things you overlook today, like your child’s giggle, a moment with your best friend, or a mesmerizing golden sky on your drive home, will one day be the memories you hold most dear.

Don’t wait for the perfect job, the perfect body, or the perfect moment to start living. As a soul having a human experience, rest is revolutionary, laughter is medicine, music is therapy, and walks are worship. These aren’t merely indulgences; they’re nourishment for the soul.

Your purpose is not productivity. You weren’t born just to perform, produce, or prove your worth. You’re here to feel, to grow, to connect, and to be. And to truly be is to reconnect with your essential nature. It’s about remembering the divinity within you, expressed not through constant doing or proving, but through presence. You return to yourself in moments of creativity, stillness, connection, and wonder. In the way you love, rest, write, dance, build, and breathe.

Yes, work hard, and honor your responsibilities. But don’t mistake survival for a substitute for aliveness. Don’t let “getting there” rob you of “being here.”⁣⁣

Make time for the small joys, the sacred pauses, and the little moments that remind you you’re human; not just a functioning one, but one who actually feels things deeply. Because one day, when the dust settles and you’ve finally hit that goal, you’ll look back and realize that what mattered most wasn’t just where you ended up, but who you were along the way. And whether you let yourself actually be present for it.

Yes. Clients are showing up stressed out, considering retirement, wondering why they feel SO DRAINED. We are ALL collectively expereincing MORE stress in the face of the instability of our societal challenges--than any other time in our lives. This takes a toll--ON EVERYONE. Get plenty of REST. Nourish Yourself with Healthy Foods. Drink Tons of Water--more than you usually do. Spend time in Nature. Practice Exquisite Self-Care. Treat Yourself Gently. Speak Kindly to Yourself and Others. Practice Gratitude. We ALL need a collective Time Out.

Rest gets such a bad reputation, like it’s the thing you do after you’ve “earned it.” But real rest is kind of a cheat code for your brain. It clears out the mental tabs, helps you think straight again, and makes your ideas feel way less forced. Half the time, the answer you’ve been chasing shows up the second you stop squeezing your mind for it.

And honestly, some of my best “productive” moments have come from doing absolutely nothing for a bit. A walk, a nap, a quiet morning, even just sitting there with no plan. Then suddenly you come back and everything takes less effort. Rest isn’t falling behind. It’s how you come back sharper, faster, and way more like yourself.

ooohh this might be the gem of the day! YES. Slowing down and quieting in is where the body feels safe enough to heal. It is NOT in the rushing. It is NOT in the urgency. It is in the quiet still moments--in between all the things.

Your body doesn’t heal in urgency.
It heals when it feels safe.

Stillness isn’t doing nothing... it’s giving your nervous system the conditions it needs to repair, rebalance, and restore.

I'M ON THE PRECIPICE OF MAJOR TRANSFORMATION!!

Last September, I retired from massage, closed my practice, renovated my home, sold my home, moved to Shelton.

In January, I started looking for condos at the Oregon coast. As I was approaching my 60th birthday in August, I started asking myself “ What do I want this next third of my life to be about?” “ What do I want?” I figure that IF I'm lucky, I might have 30 good years of cognition and mobility! Seriously.

I decided I wanted to be closer to family. And I wanted to live near the ocean.

In June, I bought a condo,I renovated it, I rented it out, and I started looking for full-time work here at the Oregon coast.
🫶😎(AND now it's ALL come true!!)

I’m happy to announce that I am in the final stages of accepting a job as a 911 dispatcher for the Lincoln City Police Department.

Crazy right?? Well, you may not know it, but I have previous law enforcement background. I’ve worked for Washington County Sheriff’s Office, and the Portland Police Bureau, both in Oregon, 18-20 years ago. Both jobs I loved, and I felt like a valued member of the team.

As part of the hiring process, I was just notified that it is against union regulations to hold a part-time job during the first year, while I am on probation. Good to know. There is SO much to learn, I bet it is a bit like drinking water from a fire hose. As I navigate new software, emergency telecommunication protocols, navigating 7 screens, and dispatching assistance to people in need.

Of course I want to do everything I can to comply. I’m play by the rules, kind of gal.

I’m super excited by this new chapter, and I’m super grateful that I can even qualify for a full-time position after 17 years of being self-employed. I am looking forward to benefits, sick leave, vacation pay, holiday pay--AND NOT DOING 3 Loads of Laundry EVERY NIGHT!! (for certain)

With that being said, I am announcing another major transition!! I’m going to be closing my business accounts on Facebook and Instagram.

It has been a complete honor to be a part of your journey, to share resources, inspirations, and serve wholeheartedly thru coaching, bodywork, workshops, blogs, and videos. 🙏

Of course, I will still continue to share my transformational journey through my private pages.
