Reports have come in from members about questionable phone calls alleging that their state dental license number was compromised and used fraudulently.

The Iowa Dental Board (IDB) does not request or accept credit card payments by phone. Scammers are spoofing the IDB’s phone number so that 515.281.5157 appears on your caller ID.

If you receive a similar call, do not provide your credit card information. Reach out directly to the IDB at 515.281.5157 or IDA at 515.331.2298 for guidance.

We are excited to announce that IMOM 2026 is headed to Des Moines on November 13-14 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds! Thank you to the countless volunteers who have helped us deliver more than $14.3 million in free dental care since 2008🩵

Are you in the Des Moines area and looking to get involved before November? The success of IMOM hinges on the local planning committee, which is tasked with recruiting volunteers and patients, as well as fundraising and securing in-kind donations. In addition to dentists, we are also looking for hygienists, assistants, community college leaders, marketing and media professionals, catering professionals, individuals with connections to local city officials, and anyone with a passion for volunteering and a willingness to support IMOM!
