Last week, we had an amazing group in Council Bluffs for the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy©! Thank you to Pottawattamie County Public Health for hosting Full Circle Recovery!

Over five days, participants dedicated their time to learning, growing, and strengthening the skills needed to walk alongside others in recovery with compassion, authenticity, and hope.

Thank you to everyone who participated and for your commitment to supporting recovery across Iowa. We can’t wait to see the impact you make! 💙💛

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on our new building, and we’re so excited to start sharing some of the progress with you all!

A huge thank you to Concrete Designs LLC for completely transforming what was once a broken, worn-out patio area into a beautiful, welcoming outdoor space. What used to be unusable is now an incredible spot where we’ll be able to host grill-outs, community gatherings, and connect with recoverees in meaningful ways. We also want to give a special shout-out to our recovery and volunteer, John West, for helping pour the patio!

We can’t wait to see this space filled with people, laughter, and recovery in action. 💛💙💛💙

✨ Sneak Peek: Our New Space is Coming to Life! ✨

We’re excited to share a first look at our new building, currently under renovation and already full of possibility. Our new Recovery Community Center space will expand access to recovery support, connection, and community in Des Moines, serving all of Polk County.

This project is made possible through Iowa Opioid Settlement Funding, and we are incredibly grateful to the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services for their continued investment in recovery and the people we support every day.

Because of this support, we are creating a welcoming, trauma-informed, safe (and much bigger!) community space where individuals and families can find hope, healing, and connection.

Stay tuned for more updates! We can’t wait to open our doors this summer! 💛💙💛💙

All Full Circle Recovery offices will be CLOSED on Monday, March 30, as our team attends Recovery Day On The Hill. In Des Moines, Bad Company (NA Meeting) will still meet at 6:30pm and Recovery Dharma will still meet at 6:30pm.

Full Circle Recovery's Corrections Recovery Coaching Program (CRCP) team has been invited to join the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy each month to speak directly with jail school participants about our lived experiences inside jail. Tracy Gryp, Director of the CRCP and Marlena Hemphill, CRCP Coordinator, shared what it actually feels like to navigate substance use and incarceration along with what helped and what didn’t. This new partnership is creating space for conversations that can shape how future officers understand and respond to the people they serve.

Something BIG is happening at Full Circle Recovery in Des Moines…and we can’t keep it a secret much longer!

💙 We’ve been working behind the scenes on something special…
💛 And here’s a hint: it involves a NEW BUILDING for the RCC!

We’ll be sharing a few sneak peek photos here 👇 as we get started.

Over the next couple of months, we’ll be working hard on renovations to create a welcoming, safe space for our recovery community.
