*New Campgrounds!*
An old friend of mine reached out as he is now hosting this beautiful campground! Quarry Springs Campground is located in Colfax, Ia and it is gorgeous! This is a new property so they are striving to continue to develop and improve the grounds, but if you love quiet, hiking, fishing, and being on the water this is an amazing option! Their tent sites are right on the water and the trails go on and on for days! They also have a shower/ bathroom house.
Unfortunately for us it was so blazing hot we chose to venture out in the area to keep the kids occupied. There is a K*m and Go and Casey’s right next to the grounds for any supplies you may need in a pinch. We went into Colfax for ice cream and discovered Cratty Shack also had a full menu and this food was GOOD!!! The small town restaurants are where it’s at and they are cheap!
We then hopped over to the Valle drive-in movie theatre, it took 10 minutes to get there and it was such a neat experience!
Highly recommend this location if you are looking for a new place to camp! The host, Jake, is amazing and will help make your stay amazing!
