Today we were out visiting our hospital partners and sharing all the great things happening at University Park!

We had some wonderful conversations about collaboration, continuity of care, and the exciting progress our team is making to better serve residents and families. It’s always energizing to connect face-to-face and talk about how we can work together to create the best outcomes possible.

We’re proud of the momentum happening at University Park and grateful for the partnerships that help us live out our mission of Exceptional People, Extraordinary Care.

💙 Spreading a Little Extra Energy Today! 💙

Today our University Park team had the pleasure of stopping by our hospital partners to drop off energy drinks and say thank you to the incredible teams who do so much for our community.

We loved connecting with amazing social workers, administrative staff, and nursing teams and sharing updates about the great things happening at University Park. Strong partnerships like these help us continue providing exceptional care every day!

Join Us in Supporting the Food Bank of Iowa!

University Park Nursing & Rehab is hosting a Food Drive from November 5th through November 21st to help support families in need right here in our community.

We’re collecting non-perishable items, including:
🥫 Canned meats, fish, vegetables, fruit, soup, and pasta sauce
🍞 Breakfast items like cereal and oatmeal
🍇 Jelly & 100% fruit juice
🧻 Paper and personal care products like toothpaste, soap, and toilet paper

Donations can be dropped off at our front desk during the collection dates. Every item makes a difference — together, we can help feed Iowa families during this difficult time. 💛

🎃👻 We kicked off Halloween with an amazing morning! We had such a great turnout for the daycare trick-or-treating — it was so much fun handing out goodies and seeing all the adorable costumes! 🧡

We loved seeing our amazing staff get into the Halloween spirit too, dressing up and joining in on the fun. Afterward, we kept the celebration going with our very own Halloween party filled with laughter, music, and plenty of sweet treats — especially the fan favorite, cotton candy! 🍬🍭

Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special — it’s always a treat when we can celebrate together! 🎉🕸️🧙‍♀️

🎃👻 Our department heads got into the Halloween spirit this week with a pumpkin decorating contest! From spooky to silly, their creativity definitely shined. We’re gearing up for a fang-tastic Halloween party this Friday, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our residents and staff! 🕸️🧡

We want to take a moment to celebrate and recognize our amazing Environmental Services (EVS) team! 💙 Their hard work, dedication, and attention to detail keep our nursing home clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors.

From ensuring our building shines to creating a comfortable and healthy environment for our residents, families, and staff — our EVS department goes above and beyond every single day. 🙌

Who says the golden days are behind us? Our University Park Sock Hop brought back the good ol’ days with music, milkshakes, and plenty of dancing. From poodle skirts to prize-worthy moves, our residents had a blast. A big thank-you to everyone who braved the rain to celebrate with us!

Game day fun! 🏈 Our residents went all-in for the CyHawk rivalry—tossing the football, showing off their trivia skills, and snacking on all the game-day treats. What a way to cheer on their team!

Great news – Iowa has gained one more Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award recipient, bringing Iowa’s total this year to 46!

University Park Nursing successfully appealed the initial qualification decision and has been notified that they have achieved Bronze Quality Award status. We love seeing our list of award recipients grow!
