The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) advocates for a positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhances business and professional skills, and promotes the ethical conduct of our members. Founded in 1890 as The National Association of Life Underwriters (NALU), NAIFA is one of the nation's oldest and largest associations representing the interests of insurance
professionals from every Congressional district in the United States. NAIFA members assist consumers by focusing their practices on one or more of the following: life insurance and annuities, health insurance and employee benefits, multiline, and financial advising and investments. NAIFA-Central Iowa is an important part of the NAIFA federation, supporting NAIFA's advocacy efforts through grassroots political involvement, fundraising for NAIFA's political action committee and keeping members informed about the key legislative and regulatory issues affecting them and their clients. NAIFA-Central Iowa also supports NAIFA's mission to enhance business and professional skills by providing programs to help members in the Central Iowa region grow their business.
