Yes, I’m still way behind and these are summertime photos posted in the winter. Cimbing 14,000 foot Peaks in Colorado with my boy and my bro’s can be posted anytime. Strafe tried to bow up to that mountain goat. That is a fight he would’ve lost.

It’s been a year since you left dude. We all still miss you. You were supposed to be with us on this trip. I still remember the day you refused to have a skier wait for a snowboarder. 12,000 feet up you jogged a quarter of a mile through the snow so that no one waited for you. You never quit. I ran these stairs today and when my legs quaked and I couldn’t go up another stair, I ran to the top one more time.

Now that I’m retired, I get to reminisce about cool things I did. Leading an international boondoggle of somewhere around 80 Slovenians and Americans, to Hungary to participate in a NATO exercise was entertaining. However, no one understood how little I knew about what I was doing. Fortunately, I’m really good at making things happen even when I’m clueless.

Back to the past. Now that I’m retired I can talk about everything and it doesn’t matter what country I’m in. I’m happy that there are no more 3 AM phone calls with Europe and the Middle East. These guys were worth it though, there will always be a part of me in Slovenia and Jordan.

I will skip ahead to now because this was a big one. I joined the military 31 years ago this month. Career done. Winning! My boys got to hose me down on my Fini flight in the viper. I’m glad I stuck it out so they could share this memory and know their dad was cool once.

September ‘23 was wild; a big month for my whole fam. It started with the 7 y/o (at the time) & Strafe climbing their first 14er. It wasn’t easy, but the boy pushed through and now he tells at least one must be conquered every year. Winning.

Still playing catch-up from 2023. Kauai with some of my favorite people on the planet after a few days in Oahu. Hiking the Napali coast with the fam, stand-up paddleboarding Hanalei with the bros, and celebrating Paul’s 50th. Kalalau Trail in 4+00 one way was brutally satisfying. Happiness before the storm of 2024. Miss u Paul…
