With the purchase of our new scale, we were finally able to see some of our hard work pay off.

We had been tracking birth weights on all of our kids, but once they reached a certain size, our old scale couldn’t handle it.

Tonight, we weighed some of our older kids and calculated a growth rate of 4–5 lbs per week since birth.

This may not be impressive to some producers, but it’s our best growth rate yet—and we’re excited to keep improving!

One thing that’s truly been a game-changer for us is . Every goat in our barn, whether they started on this feed or not, absolutely loves it.

So, with a well-earned pat on the back, we’re proud of how far we’ve come as breeders and will continue to look for ways to get even better.
