Sarah shared:
"Today, I am celebrating 10 years of strength, healing, and choosing a better life every single day. I’m so proud of the courage, perseverance, and the resilience it took to get here, and eternally thankful for all who gave me a hand-up on my journey.

I am proof that by the grace of God and working the 12-steps, change is possible and hope is stronger than any hurts, habits, or hang-ups.

One day at a time became 3,650 days of gratefulness. I am excited for what adventures await in the next 10 years of this beautiful life."

Everyone, help us celebrate Brigitte Bruyere! 🤍 On March 25th, Brigitte celebrated 4 years of sobriety and experienced a moment she’ll never forget - welcoming her daughter into the world on that very same day.

Brigitte shared a few words about this moment:
“Four years ago, I made the decision to choose sobriety. I didn’t know what my future would look like, only that I wanted to live. Today, I celebrate 4 years clean… and on that very same day, I gave birth to my daughter. A full circle moment that reminds me every single day why I chose to fight. This life is everything I once thought I’d never have, and God’s timing is perfect.”

To top it off, March 25th also marked Brigitte’s 2-year anniversary with Sana Lake, where she now serves as our Contact Center Assistant Manager.

Brigitte, your story is powerful. Celebrating new life in more ways than one... congratulations on 4 years and on welcoming your baby girl!

🎉 Today we’re celebrating Freddy Mickel’s 16 years in recovery! 🎉

Freddy serves as our Director of Extended Care Operations at Sana Lake, and we asked him to share a few words:

“Whether 16 months, 16 days, or 16 hours, it is a miracle for anyone with the disease of addiction to not use. It is a life or death choice that I take seriously every day.

The last year I’ve been tested by tornadoes… and I have focused on choosing the connection of safe people and safe places, my HP, and programs.

16 years ago, I was living in isolation and was given the choice to accept the gift of connection in recovery. I am blessed to be of service every day to the members, families, and staff of Sana Lake. If you or a loved one is struggling, please reach out to us… We are here to connect you to lifelong recovery, one day at a time!”

Freddy, the way you live out connection and recovery every day is a gift to our members, families, and team. Congratulations, we’re grateful for all you do and honored to celebrate 16 years with you! 💙
