This soap smells like summer evenings outside and I am OBSESSED 😍🌿

Meet Backyard Guard — our new summer tallow soap made with citronella, lemongrass, eucalyptus, lavender, dried calendula, and pasture raised tallow I render myself from local beef sourced near our farm.

This bar was inspired by backyard nights, gardening, chicken chores, bonfires, and basically living outside all summer long ☀️

Fresh, clean, herbal, and honestly just really pretty too 😂

I cannot WAIT for you guys to smell this one in person.

Sunday mornings lately have looked a lot like this ☀️
Rows and rows of fresh products cooling on the counter, music playing, coffee nearby, and getting everything ready for our summer collection launch 🤍

This collection has been months in the making, and seeing it all finally come together is such a good feeling. Every jar is made in small batches using tallow I render myself from local pasture-raised beef suet sourced right down the road from our farm. From start to finish, these products are truly handcrafted here at home.

At this point all that’s left is labeling… which is definitely my least favorite part of the whole process (thank you to my husband who prints everything) ❤️ But seeing everything lined up and ready for summer collection makes it worth it.

Sneak peeks are coming VERY soon, and I cannot wait to start sharing scents, products, and all the little details with you all.

Our summer collection officially launches opening night of Dixon City Market on May 27 and will also be available online through our website.

Today was all about lip balm prep and getting ready for our summer collection ☀️

Tubes filled, tins poured, counters covered in lip balm trays… and honestly this is one of my favorite parts of the process. There’s just something so satisfying about seeing everything lined up and setting up perfectly 💛

One of these trays is actually an exclusive scent made just for The Mustard Seed Market. I’ll let Laura share all the details when she’s ready, but I had to give you all a little sneak peek first.

We Tried Something New… 🤍

Farm Fresh launches this weekend at Thrive On Main in Sheffield, IL from 10–4 🤍

We’re definitely known for our tallow products around here, but this time I decided to do something a little different.

This soap actually started because of my son. Between swimming lessons, dirt, sweat, and farm life, his skin was constantly irritated and I wanted something simple and clean that I felt good about using on him every single day, and easy to use. So instead of grabbing something from the store, I went back to the basics and made an old-fashioned lard soap.

And honestly… now I totally understand why lard soap has been used on farms for generations.

This bar is made with farm-raised lard, coconut oil, rice bran oil, and essential oils of tea tree, peppermint, and eucalyptus for that fresh, clean feeling. The lard creates the creamiest lather and leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized instead of dry and stripped.

Simple ingredients. Farm-inspired. And one of those products that accidentally turned out too good not to share 🤍

Farm Fresh will be available this weekend at Thrive on Main in Sheffield, IL. Limited quantities available 🫧
