Molina Healthcare of Florida, in collaboration with the MolinaCares Accord, announced a donation to the Family Action Network Movement (FANM), a nonprofit addressing physical and mental health needs and education gaps Florida families. The Molina investment will support chronic disease initiatives and address social determinants of health, focusing on populations at higher risk for chronic illnesses. The grant will allow FANM to address health challenges in and around North Miami and Little Haiti by delivering chronic disease education and providing early detection and prevention services that empower individuals and families to take control of their health. Molina Healthcare of Florida announced a $16,000 donation to the Family Tree of Life Center, a nonprofit providing a foundation to parents on their birthing journey. The organization helps pregnant people through miscarriage and loss support, classes for fathers, counseling, and mentorship. We recently hosted a Fraud Awareness and prevention Community Event, which equipped attendees with valuable tools to safeguard themselves and their families.

Participants shared personal experiences and learned how to spot common scams, including:
📞 Phone scams – unexpected calls requesting money or personal details
💳 Credit card fraud – unauthorized charges or stolen card info
📲 Text scams – deceptive messages posing as banks or government agencies

The interactive session also highlighted practical strategies to stay safe:
✅ Avoid clicking on unfamiliar links
✅ Verify the source before sharing personal information
✅ Monitor financial statements regularly
✅ Report suspicious activity right away

Beyond learning, this event gave community members the chance to connect, strengthen relationships and build confidence in protecting against fraud.
