Having my children there to setup on event day and see what it takes to run a business always makes me happy.

Brighten and Bloom has grown so much I can barely fit it all in the car.

My favorite part is spending the day connecting with customers, hearing their stories, and learning what gifts truly mean to them.

I also met the sweetest neighboring vendor who handcrafts the most beautiful birdhouses with incredible attention to detail.

These events always remind me why the small business community is so special.

We’re not growing strawberries for a big harvest. We’re growing them for one berry we grew and cared for ourselves.
�Sometimes it’s about the joy of watching something grow because you cared for it.

A few flowers already showing up feels like a small victory.

This little pillowcase trick is the easiest and least messy way to get dried lavender buds off the stem.

We harvest our lavender each July, dry the bundles, and then use the buds in our handmade bath and body creations like shower steamers, bath bombs, soaks and sachets made with clean ingredients and a whole lot of love. 🌿🫶

I just learned about this viral seed snail method originally created by

After running out of space and needing to pot up my seedlings, I decided to give it a try.

Everything I am reading is so positive, so here’s hoping my little seedlings will be very happy in their new snails.

I even started a few varieties directly from seed in the snails because once you make one, they are so fun to roll up. 🐌

If you’re concerned about microplastics for any vegetable varieties, I saw suggest wrapping the material in parchment paper first.

That’s what I did, I loved the tight little sushi-roll look of it.
