🌍 What a wonderful way to celebrate an early Earth’s Day!

🌀 Our third Eco-Connection group met Friday morning along the Haw River; we invited in reflection of our ecological selves, listened to the land’s story and shared about what our Earth home means to us. As always, I left with so much gratitude for our human attendees and the more than human presence when we gather.

🔥 Our next group is only three weeks away on May 8th. We will be celebrating a belated May Day/Beltane and the group theme is Awakening! Registration is open and can be found in my bio.

Some small earthly glimmers from a quick camping/hiking trip with my family this weekend 🌿

It is a privilege to be able to take a step away and have space to metabolize everything going on and find some gratitude through time with the more than human and my humans. …Sleeping, eating, and walking amongst the rocks and land, trees and moving waters of the Sauratown Mountains, ancestral land of the Saura indigenous people. …Trying to practice what I encourage others to do for the ability to turn back towards the pain of the world with more consciousness and energy.

Feeling an incredible amount of gratitude and reverence for the human and more than human kin’s presence yesterday morning for our first Eco-Connection group 💚

Thank you to all who spent their morning communing with us and the Haw River, exploring and passing through our shared thresholds with self and Earth ✨

🌿A monthly Earth based relational group rooted in the principles of forest therapy, EcoSomatics, mindfulness, the Work that Reconnects, ceremony & ritual, and environmental kinship. Open to anyone interested!

✨Hello, I’m Sara, the living person behind this account. I am a licensed therapist and owner of Woven Wood Integrative Therapy, located in Apex, NC.

🪺 In my healing practices I weave together somatic and relational frameworks with ecotherapy and reciprocity with Earth.

🌻 Most of my experience as a therapist has been helping folx with complex trauma, eating disorders and connection issues.

🌙 I love supervising and helping new therapists find their footing with their therapeutic practice.

🌍 I believe we alone cannot heal ourselves and especially not without helping heal our communities and the more than human kin and land.

🕸️ Outside of individual therapy, you can connect and work with me through two groups that are starting in the new year:

🌿 Eco-Connection - a community based group meeting on the banks of the Haw River for EcoSomatic and ritual practices - first gathering Feb 20th
