This fit is made of concepts that I had. The hoodie is reverse dyed, heavyweight cotton terry with patches made from canvas that I painted and a dtf printed logo. The pants are cut & sew from dead stock canvas I sourced. Even photos with a good camera don’t do justice to the work that went into both pieces. Many hours of work, lots of thinking and planning and working with people who are specialists. As I continue to get deeper into my process and ex*****on of ideas, it’s hard to be as emphatic as I think the clothing deserves. I’m not trying to be overly cool, but I don’t expect an untrained eye to understand what I’m doing and value it. I prefer to not have to talk about it at all. I started this brand to make things I like, not necessarily to make money or impress onlookers or be useful to other businesses. Those phenomena are a side effect of being good at what I do. I must survive though. My sincerest wish is that folks recognize me as a human being and support me seeking what brings me fulfillment which is making clothes. If you want to wear what I make that’s a bonus. I would’ve always been doing this regardless. The invitation is open for people who want to abide by my boundaries and those who appreciate my curation. I have goals, dreams, and aspirations that are private and personal also. It’s difficult to place a dollar amount in trade on what I do, because of what I’ve sacrificed to be here. I will always feel like I deserve more because at the very least, my time is irreplaceable. I don’t want to squander a moment or stray from my purpose. It may just be a hoodie and pants to you, but I’ll never intentionally degrade my art. I don’t sell to everyone. All money ain’t good money. I love my community who actually gets this. It’s tough to have integrity in America in these times. I’m confident I’m doing my best. On the surface it may look like I am not “hustling” but I don’t want to hustle. My work is good, my team is excellent, so all I need is alignment. If you read this whole caption I appreciate you, I know that most people will skip the reading due to short attention span.
