The problem is the bill interjects language that would allow individuals with only FOUR HOURS of education and NO LICENSING or REGISTRATION with the state to provide TREATMENT to patients via Telehealth.

Georgians deserve the same quality of care and protections as communities that have sufficient dental providers. This bill also restricts dental hygienist working under the Department of Public Health, county boards of health, and Department of Corrections from seeing patients initially for cleanings, fluoride treatment, and other dental hygiene services currently allowed under Georgia law.
