The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia (CSBMG) is proud to recognize Random Acts of Kindness Day on Tuesday, February 17.
Kindness is more than a simple gesture—it is a powerful character strength that supports emotional well-being, strengthens relationships, and builds healthier communities. Each of us has the ability to practice and grow kindness in our daily lives, creating a positive impact across the sixteen counties CSBMG serves.

✨ Kindness doesn’t have to cost anything—just a moment of intention.
Here are a few simple ways to participate today:
• Share coffee or a conversation with a colleague
• Write a handwritten note or leave an encouraging message
• Invite someone to connect over a game or activity
• Recommend a favorite book
• Pick up litter in your community
• Visit or check in on someone who may feel isolated
• Donate to a local shelter or resource center
• Leave a positive review for a local business

💬 Every act of kindness—no matter how small—helps create a culture of compassion, connection, and care.

Join CSBMG in spreading kindness today and every day.

The story of mental health in the Black community is one of strength, resilience, and restoration—rooted in faith, culture, family, and connection.

Despite generations of systemic barriers and inequities in care, Black communities have continued to create spaces of healing while advocating for a more inclusive and equitable behavioral health system.

At CSBMG, we believe that understanding this history is essential to building trust, improving access, and delivering culturally responsive care across the communities we serve.

✨ Healing is not just individual—it is generational and communal.

In today’s behavioral health landscape, empathy isn’t optional—it’s expected. And more importantly, it’s measurable.

Our latest blog, “Got Empathy? Why Consumer Experience Is Now a Strategic Imperative,” explores how empathy directly impacts trust, engagement, and long-term outcomes in community-based care.

📊 Did you know?
Nearly 4 out of 5 individuals say empathy matters more than reviews or recommendations when choosing a provider.

At CSBMG, we recognize that empathy goes beyond words—it must be built into every interaction, every system, and every experience across the sixteen counties we serve.

✨ When organizations lead with empathy, they don’t just provide services—they build trust, connection, and stronger communities.

What happens in the first 24 hours after a behavioral health crisis can make a life-changing difference.

Our latest blog, “Crisis Impact: What Early Research Reveals About the Effectiveness of Modern Crisis Response Systems,” explores how timely outreach, care coordination, and continued engagement are improving outcomes for individuals in crisis.

From faster access to care to reduced suicidal ideation, the data is clear—rapid, compassionate response saves lives.

At CSBMG, this research reinforces the importance of the work happening every day across our sixteen counties to ensure individuals receive the support they need, when they need it most.

Toinette Fielding and Louis Williams attended the Telfair County School System’s Power Hour this evening. This event was designed to educate parents of graduating senior students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) about available post-secondary resources and support services. It was a wonderful and informative event, featuring several community partners committed to supporting students and their families during this important transition.

CSBMG was proud to attend the career fair at Montgomery County High School, where we had the opportunity to share information about the services and support CSBMG brings to our communities.

We enjoyed connecting with students who stopped by our table and learning more about their interests as they explore future career paths. Events like this play an important role in helping students envision their next steps and discover meaningful opportunities.

👏 A special thank you to Toinette Fielding and Danyalle Wright for representing CSBMG and engaging with students throughout the event.

✨ We’re always excited to invest in the future workforce!

CSBMG welcomed a group of seven (7) seasoned CARF surveyors from across the country for three fully scheduled days, during which they reviewed the programs we operate, our facilities, and untold numbers of policies, procedures, protocols, plans, and reviews. Areas evaluated included financial stability, leadership, funding sources, and stakeholder and client feedback. They also reviewed health and safety, human resources and training practices, and medical and IT systems. They held interviews with multiple staff members, individuals served, and stakeholders.

This outcome reflects the collective effort of our entire organization. Special recognition goes to our frontline staff, transporters, CARF handlers, and program facilitators across multiple counties and program sites as CARF left no stone unturned! Your commitment to quality care, safety, and service truly shines through in this outcome.

💐 A special thank you to Tina Clements and Melissa Tomerlin for their exceptional organization, leadership, and facilitation throughout the CARF process. Your preparation and attention to detail were instrumental to our success.

This achievement is a testament to teamwork, accountability, and our shared commitment to continuous quality improvement. Well done, everyone—we did this together! What a wonderful way to end the week!
