It’s apparently the week of the car seat 🤷🏼‍♀️

Being in our newborn bliss, Instagram keeps showing us all things baby, including car seats.

Car seats are great for keeping baby safe in the car but the shape of them can put tension on their developing bodies!

Check out this video for the string analogy and how it relates to infant posture in car seats!

Here's a tidbit for those who haven't been in the babywearing world yet!

1. Zippers 👉 Zippers on your shirt leave a lovely imprint on your baby's face!

2. Long necklaces 👉 We recommend saving these for date night 😆Baby doesn't need to be tangled up in it or have a ruby imprint on their face!

3. Fragrances 👉What's on your skin will get onto their face, their skin is super sensitive! Be mindful of heavy chemicals and fragrances your baby's face will be right up against and also breathing in!

*quick story time*

Ya’ll know our clinic runs off of our love for families, coffee and Gonstead.

This man is one of my mentors, Dr. John Cox. Dr. John is one of the top docs in the Gonstead Chiropractic world - yes, world. He has patients travel from all over the world to receive care.

I had the honor to do my chiropractic preceptorship with him and also worked along side him as his associate right out of school until I moved to Dubuque.

Most of how we do things and take care of patients in this clinic is inspired by his amazing patient care.

This weekend, I had the privilege to see him be awarded The Gonstead Lifetime Achievement Award for all he’s done for Gonstead Chiropractic - not just patient care, but running and improving The Gonstead Seminars we love so much!

Such an amazing weekend and so much gratitude for Dr. John 🤍
