Dance Marathon UMD *KICKIN IT FOR THE KIDS* .: WHAT IS DANCE MARATHON? :. Help us help kids be kids!

Dance Marathon consists of [12 hours] of dancing & activity in the UMD Field House, promising to be the biggest [student-run] party of the year. DM is a [nationwide movement], involving college and high school students at over 150 schools across the country who raise money for the [Childrens Miracle Network hospital] in their community. At the University of Minnesota Duluth we are a student-run philanthropy in its first and establishing year as a student organization. Our goals are to raise funds for Gillette Childrens Specialty Healthcare and change how the community perceives individuals with "disabilities".

Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare provides specialized health care for people who have short-term or long-term disabilities that began during childhood. We help children, adults and their families improve their health, achieve greater well-being, and enjoy life.

.: FOR THE KIDS :. At Gillette Childrens Specialty Healthcare, an internationally renowned, not-for-profit organization, patients primarily children and teens with disabilities or complex medical needs receive expert care that helps them achieve their fullest potential. By participating in Dance Marathon, you are raising funds that make a vital difference in the lives of Minnesota patients.

Two of the cutest patients that Gillette helps will be selling Girl Scout cookies this week! They will be on sale M-F Feb 18-22, 9-3pm in Kirby's Lower Level. Only $4 per box. Go get some cookies and meet the girls!!!
