Hello Community!
As some of you may know, I have been hard at work over the past eight years developing a deeply rooted herbalism practice under the name Alseth Acres. Through this work, I have seen 50+ clients, hosted herb clinics, taught countless classes, hosted a mutual aid fund, and community medicine making classes.
The heart of this work has always been community care with a deeply rooted heart space for 2SLGBTQIA+ community wellness and T4T/Q***r-to-Q***r healing. I am taking a big old gamble on myself and trying to expand my skills to develop a wild, feral q***r healing practice. I dream of this being a sacred space for trans bodies to breathe deep liberating breaths together and be offered trans centered care.
This Fall I am diving into Acupuncture & Traditional Medicine school at the Academy of Health & Wellness in Roseville, Minnesota and working to finish up massage therapy training this winter at the Professional Massage Academy in St. Cloud Minnesota. Acupuncture school will take at least 3 years and massage school I anticipate taking 4+ months to wrap-up my additional training.
I am so excited to be diving into these trainings and am also very nervous as I am leaving traditional salaried employment behind to do so and definitely anticipating limited resources while I gain these new skills.
I am asking for community support to help me gain these new skills to expand my community care offerings. All local folks who give support will be added to my first list for sliding scale body work and herbal wellness offerings in the Twin Ports coming Spring 2026.
