💖 From one grateful heart to many…

Last year, this community showed up in a powerful way for women’s heart health, and I will forever carry that gratitude with me. As we look ahead to the 2026 Blair County Go Red for Women event on May 21, I’m honored to continue this work—this time as Event Chair—with the same heart and purpose.

We’re currently seeking silent auction donations to help make this event impactful and unforgettable. Items can be big or small, experiences or services—many are geared toward women, but all thoughtful contributions are welcome! Popular ideas include:

✨ Boutique or salon gift cards
✨ Fitness, wellness, or beauty baskets
✨ Home décor, handbags, or local experiences
✨ Dinner, travel, or entertainment items

Every donated item helps fund life-saving research, education, and awareness for women’s heart health—and every contribution truly matters.

What a night to remember! ❤️💃🏻�
Last evening, we gathered at the Blair County Go Red for Women event to celebrate heart health, community, and the incredible women who’ve led the charge—including Amy, who was honored as this year’s Woman of Impact alongside fellow nominees and heart warriors.

This moment was the perfect way to close out a truly unforgettable campaign. Thanks to your support—through donations, awareness, event attendance, and so much heart—we helped make history. 💪🏻

We’re still feeling proud that this campaign finished #1 in Pennsylvania and #11 in the nation—the only small market to break into the top 15. It’s been a record-breaking year for Blair County, and it’s all because of this amazing community.

The results are in!! I am incredibly honored to be named the 2025 Blair County Woman of Impact by the American Heart Association.

This recognition represents the power of community, advocacy, and purpose coming together for a cause that touches so many lives, including my own. Together, we’ve taken strides toward a future where heart disease no longer claims the lives of our mothers, sisters, and friends. Thank you to everyone who supported this mission; your generosity and passion have truly made a difference.

Together, We’ve Made a Heartful Impact! ❤️

As my Woman of Impact campaign comes to a close, I’m reflecting on this incredible journey with so much gratitude. Over the past nine weeks, we’ve:
💡Shared heart health tips and stories
🤸Moved our bodies through events like yoga, jazzercise, zumba, and walking
🎨Connected through creative events like painting night and shopping sales
🥦Prioritized healthy eating with food fundraisers
🏀Cheered together during March Madness festivities
🎁Spread awareness with giveaways and events, all from your amazing support and engagement

Every single dollar, share, and word of encouragement has made a difference—and I couldn’t have done this without you.

The journey doesn’t end here! I can’t wait to see what’s next as we continue advocating for heart health. Stay tuned as we learn if we’ve achieved the title of Woman of Impact. The winner of our Love Your Heart Loop basket will also be announced next week!

WISE Women Honoree Spotlight

Today, we begin honoring each of the inspiring nominees for the WISE Women of Blair County awards — and we start with a woman who lives this quote every day: Amy Van Kleunen.

Described as a “good human” by a nominator, Amy’s kindness, energy, and faith radiate through every role she takes on — as a mother, wife, mentor, physical therapist, volunteer, and community leader.

Whether she’s leading the PTO, organizing backpacks for children in need, championing swim meets, or advocating for women’s heart health, Amy brings passion and purpose. She once said, “My faith is my primary motivation in all I do – to strive to show God’s love in the work I do for my family, my friends, and my community at all times.” And it shows.

From serving breakfast to bus drivers to securing a playground for Foot of Ten Elementary, Amy’s impact reaches far and wide. She believes in the power of women supporting women — and she is that woman cheering you on, lifting others up, and helping everyone find their place to shine.

Join us in celebrating Amy and the legacy of love, leadership, and lasting impact she brings to Blair County.
