Our Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) approach is at the heart of how we serve children and families. MDTs brings together professionals from:
✅ Child Protective Services
✅law enforcement
✅prosecution
✅medical & mental health
✅victim advocacy and more
to coordinate investigations and ensure children receive comprehensive, trauma-informed care. You can learn more about our MDT here: https://www.harnettcac.org/mdt

Recently, we welcomed our partners from Daymark Recovery Services, Inc. for a tour of our center. An active MDT participant, Daymark plays an important role in supporting children and families.

Pictured: Dafne, Beth, Rebeca, Savannah Lackey (Team Lead), and Zachary Horner (Clinician). Not pictured is Center Director Asia Boyd, who had to respond to a crisis situation.

We are thankful for strong partnerships that strengthen the safety net for children in our communities!

Children’s Advocacy Centers (that's us!) use a child-friendly interview process so children don’t have to tell and relive their story over and over again.

Our interviewer is highly trained, incredibly patient, and deeply skilled at helping children feel safe, comfortable and heard.

Child abuse often happens at the hands of someone a child knows and trusts.
That’s why our children’s advocacy center exists: to provide a safe, neutral place for children to share their stories and begin healing.
