For your consideration This was NOT taught to me by my childhood religion but learned over the years with help of therapy and wonderful women spiritual teachers and practices. #3 was a big challenge that I mastered in my 3 step Transforming the Inner Critic process .
“Thinking good of oneself involves cultivating self-love, self-acceptance, and self-worth. Here are some potent points and practices to help you do so:
1. *Practice self-compassion*: Treat yourself with kindness, understanding, and patience. Acknowledge your imperfections and remember that everyone makes mistakes.
2. *Focus on strengths*: Rather than dwelling on weaknesses, highlight your positive qualities, skills, and accomplishments.
3. *Challenge negative self-talk*: Notice when you're engaging in self-criticism, and replace those thoughts with affirming, empowering ones.
4. *Set boundaries*: Learn to say "no" to things that drain your energy and say "yes" to those that nourish your mind, body, and soul.
5. *Celebrate successes*: Acknowledge and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small they may seem.
6. *Practice mindfulness and self-care*: Take care of your physical, emotional, and mental well-being by engaging in activities that bring you joy and relaxation.
7. *Surround yourself with positivity*: Spend time with people who uplift and support you, and avoid those who bring you down.
8. *Embrace your uniqueness*: Recognize that you're one of a kind, and that your individuality is something to be cherished.
9. *Practice gratitude*: Focus on the things you're thankful for, rather than dwelling on negative thoughts or circumstances.
10. *Repeat affirmations*: Use positive affirmations to rewire your mind with empowering thoughts and beliefs.
Remember, thinking good of yourself is a journey, not a destination. Be gentle, patient, and kind to yourself as you work on cultivating a more positive and loving relationship with yourself.
