In collaboration with the community, NAMI Durham conducts educational programs, workshops, meetings and support groups addressing aspects of mental health at no cost to the community. This hands-on workshop empowers individuals living with mental health conditions — and their families — to confidently share their story, communicate with elected officials, and make an impact in their community.

Join the Durham County Department of Public Health and Duke Health for the next session of “What’s the 411” on Wednesday, December 17, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at 414 E. Main Street in downtown Durham.

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Samantha Minc, Vascular Surgeon at Duke Health, who will share expert insights on preventing amputations for individuals living with diabetes or vascular disease. A light lunch will be provided.

NAMI Durham is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and advocacy throughout Durham County to advance the interests of all persons affected by mental illness. The mission of NAMI Durham is to promote recovery and optimize the quality of life for those in Durham County affected by mental illness.

We are an organization whose strength lies in its members. Our members are persons with lived mental health experience, relatives and friends of those living with mental illness, mental health professionals, policy makers, and anyone who is committed to our mission.
