Talking Curbside with Britney someone who knows Durham like the back of their hand đłđĄ
Q: Why do you love this neighborhood so much?
Britney: The obvious reasons are location: youâre close to downtown, itâs easy to hop on 147, and getting to the airport is simple. But what really makes it special is whatâs inside the neighborhood. Youâve got the To***co Trail, a city park with tennis courts, a school, multiple churches, and a community garden. Itâs incredibly rare to find all of that in one place. Itâs also the quietest, most peaceful neighborhood weâve ever worked in. If I were going to live in any of our infill neighborhoods, this would definitely be it.
Q: If you had to pick one Forestal floor plan to live in, which would it be?
Britney: I canât pick just one, I have to give you two. The Thompson will always be near and dear to my heart because it was inspired by one of the first communities we built and a home there that I actually lived in. And then thereâs the Omstead, mostly for the closet. The primary suite in the Omstead is spectacular overall, and itâs a great closet.
Q: Whereâs your go-to spot to eat in Durham?
Britney: You might not know this about me, but I love to eat and I love going out to eat. Iâm at some of these places at least once a week. Q Shack is definitely one. For a nicer meal, Nanaâs and NanaSteak are both fantastic. Saltbox Seafood Joint is great. There are just so many good restaurants here. Thereâs really no wrong answer.
