And so it begins ......
The time of year when people are scrambling for the perfect puppy/kitten for a Christmas Present!! These people are willing to spend some serious $$ for the little bundle of joy without ever considering that this bundle is a 12-18 year commitment. And a commitment to spend time and $ every year for that bundles health, wellbeing and safety. These people will only realize AFTER giving this bundle to someone that it requires yearly vaccines, flea/tick & heartworm medications, quality food, housing, beds, toys. God forbid that bundle should need immediate medical attention. THEN, let's factor in that alot of these bougie breeds are a mess, medically speaking. Allergies, heart defects, joint issues, breathing concerns, behavioral issues, the list goes on and on. And that ain't cheap!
So please, for the love of all that's holy, STOP BUYING PUPPIES/KITTENS!!!! STOP BREEDING
PUPPIES/KITTENS!!!!! DO NOT GIVE ANIMALS AS GIFTS!!!! Because this is what happens ...
1)The new owners don't realize how expensive it is to get the new bundle the SERIES of vaccines and medications. Then they will bitch and bitch to the people who are trying to help about how expensive it all is.
2) The New owners will bitch and bitch because they had already spent too much $$ on purchasing the new bundle.
3) Then the new bundle is actually doing what they do, being a puppy/kitten, ie, destroying shoes, pillows, bedding, urinating inside house, outside of litter box, biting, not listening, not understanding, running off, etc etc.
4) Then the health problems start, allergies, breathing issues, behavioral issues, joint issues, etc etc.
5) THEN new owner will no longer be interested in new bundle. It's too much to deal with and they are no longer interested.
6) THIS is when new bundle is taken to the shelter. But it's not a "no-kill" shelter because they are over capacity. So new owner takes bundle to any shelter that will take them. Dropped off, discarded and left to die. If they happen to not be killed(which would be a miracle) that new bundle now has a whole host if new insecurities, because of being ABANDONED./// The other option is some people just drive these bundles to the middle of nowhere and drop them off, to fend for themselves or get hit by a car, its no longer their concern.
So, I have a suggestion. Just don't do it. It's really that simple. Do not BUY a new breed, envogue puppy/kitten. These new breeds are simply cute mutts. That's the truth. These new breeds are bred to be cute. That's it. They are not bred with quality health lines in mind, at all.
Not to mention that ALL of the shelters, rescues in this entire country are extremely full already!! You can find a breed specific rescue if you want. You can literally sit on your ass, Google up what you're looking for, FIND THE ANIMAL YOU WANT, and most likely, a rescue will transport that animal to you.
My suggestion, go to your local shelter. Google rescue groups. There are hundreds of thousands of animals in shelters right now and need a home, some love, they need their person, their family, their child. And I guarantee you, that animal will spend the rest of their lives being grateful to you and being the best pet you've ever had. And it will cost a fraction of what you would spend from a breeder.
Do the right thing, be a good human, be part of the solution instead of part of the problem. These are living, breathing souls. If you are not prepared to make this commitment, just don't do it.
If you are one of the as****es that does do all of the wrong things just know that the actual animal world(the people who work in vet clinics, shelters, rescues) we hate you. We truly hate you. And if we happen to strike up a conversation with you and you divulge how you acquired your animal, we will most likely tell you how much we hate you, just how much you suck and then we will judge the f**k out of you. We will then likely tell all the local shelters, rescues and clinics about just what an as***le you are. Because this animal world is not for the faint of heart and we work daily to protect animals everywhere, especially from people like you.
Not sorry for one word I said. No one word. Not sorry. Breeders suck. People who buy from breeders suck.
