"My Mom, Jayne" isn’t just a Hollywood story; it’s an identity story. Mariska Hargitay grew up in the spotlight and in the aftermath of silence.

On this special episode of Everything’s Relative with and Everything's Relative with Eve Sturges, we unpack the HBO doc, inherited narratives, and why the truth still matters.

If you’ve ever questioned the story you were told, this one’s for you. If you just want to hear me shoot the breeze with my favorite California pals.

guess what I watched last night?

Guess what and I are talking about today for a special HANGTIME? (Would it be weird to release our episode on the 4th of July? )

(Spoiler alert: it's good.)

Today is a confusing day for me, for a lot of people in the DNA surprise, adoption, and NPE community, and for anyone navigating a complicated relationship with their dad.

Maybe you’ve had men in the role of father, but never felt truly fathered. Maybe you’re carrying grief, anger, or that quiet ache of not being chosen, protected, or known in the way a father should know you.

There’s pressure to reach out, to perform gratitude, to keep the peace, or “do the right thing,” but if that doesn’t sit right today, it’s okay.

You get to do what feels best for you.
You don’t owe anyone a performance.
And you’re not alone in the tension.

To anyone carrying this kind of weight today, I see you. You’re allowed to honor your truth without apology.

Some people don’t just cause drama — they derail your entire next chapter.
Want to know how to deal with them?

I’m facilitating a free webinar with Megan Hunter, MBA from the (yep, the It’s All Your Fault podcast). We’re talking about the 5 high-conflict personality types — and how they show up in families, breakups, courtrooms, and even DNA discoveries.

This isn’t just for mental health pros. If you’ve ever had someone blow up your peace, this is for you.

You don’t have to be part of the DNA world to need this.

If you’ve ever dealt with someone who thrives on blame, drama, or chaos — this is for you.

I will be facilitating a free webinar TOMORROW with Megan Hunter, co-founder of the High Conflict Institute (yes, the one she started with Bill Eddy — whose name probably rings a bell if you’ve worked with high-conflict personalities).

Topic: High-Conflict Behavior & DNA Discoveries
When: Sunday, April 13 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET

This isn’t just about DNA discoveries. It’s about how to respond when someone else keeps trying to drag you into the storm — and how to keep your peace anyway.

Trans Day of Visibility isn’t about rainbows and hashtags—it’s about real people trying to live their lives with dignity and safety.

If you have friends in the q***r or trans community, check in on them. The world is heavy right now, and visibility can feel like a spotlight instead of a shield.

I stand with the trans and nonbinary community—today and every day. Visibility matters, but it’s not enough without protection, support, and the freedom to just be.

Today is Trans Day of Visibility!
TDOV is a day to celebrate, uplift, and stand in solidarity with the Trans and Nonbinary community. Visibility is powerful, but so is action. At Twin Cities Pride, we are committed to protecting and supporting our trans community—not just today, but every day. From year-round programming to advocacy and resources, we are here to ensure that Minnesota remains a place where trans people can live authentically and safely.
