Not your average therapist here. If youâre looking for change that encourages authenticity, invites playfulness back into your life, while also cultivating a deeper understanding of yourself, your past and how to meet your needsâŚ
Then youâve come to the right place! (And thatâs my new office location, yay!)
As a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT), I have education and experience in what creates lasting change and growth.
And itâs not âforcing yourself to be betterâ or âfixing yourselfâ or âaccepting you just have a diagnosis thatâll never go awayâ. (Because yuck! Those donât even work!)
Itâs learning to feel safe, seen, and heard.
Itâs experiencing what a truly safe relationship feels like.
Itâs understanding what your body and mind are trying to tell you.
Itâs getting comfortable with sometimes uncomfortable things like meeting your needs, being assertive, and being unapologetically YOU.
Itâs inviting silliness and joy back into your life while still honoring the pain and challenging experiences youâve endured.
Will we engage in art activities? Probably.
Will you share your interests, hobbies, and values alongside your pain, stress, and overwhelm? I hope so!
Will we explore your emotions, reactions, and needs? Absolutely, and not just through talking but with the use of visualizations, written and experiential activities, somatic exercises and maybe even some hypnosis if thatâs what youâre interested in!
And weâll do all of this with compassion, curiosity, and genuineness.
Which means sometimes there will be crying, sometimes there will be anger, and sometimes weâll laugh, joke, and have an occasional cuss word slip out.
Because authenticity is welcome here, as it is the main ingredient in healing and growth.
So if youâre in Idaho, and want to take that next step towards freedom and authenticity, then check out my bio and letâs connect! đ
