Excellent research is happening right here in South Carolina at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC)!

A new study from MUSC is exploring a more precise way to prevent organ rejection.

Researchers have engineered immune cells that calm the body’s response to donor organs without weakening the entire immune system.

This could improve transplant outcomes and help more patients qualify for donor matches.

We are honored to see two South Carolina transplant patients competing in the World Transplant Games. Allen Stancil, the heart recipient, competed in our National Living Donor Triathlon hosted at the Clemson Triathlon in June of this year, and his relay team won their division.
