🌿 Spring is almost here… and Little Acorns is returning to the farm 💚
Little Acorns is a farm-based outdoor program for children ages 3–5 designed to nurture curiosity, confidence, and connection through nature.
This year, we’re offering six-week sessions — giving children more time to build friendships, deepen their comfort outdoors, and fully settle into the rhythm of the farm. As the days grow longer, our littlest learners will be right there in it all — noticing new buds, listening for birds, feeding the chickens, and getting their hands in the warm spring soil.

🌱✨ Every child deserves time in nature. ✨🌱

At The Farm and Forest Education Center, camp days are filled with muddy boots, chicken chores, garden harvests, and wide-open wonder. 🐓🌻🐄 Kids build confidence, friendships, and a deep connection to where their food comes from.

But for some families, cost can be a barrier.

The Bill Barr Farm Camp Scholarship Fund was created to help ensure that more children can experience the joy of farm camp — regardless of financial circumstances. Our goal is to raise $6,000 to provide meaningful tuition assistance to families who need it.

Here’s what your support can do:

🌱 $25 — Helps a sibling attend camp
🌿 $50 — Provides one family’s camp discount
🌻 $100 — Offers meaningful tuition support
🐄 $425 — Sends one child to farm camp for a full week
✨ $3,400 — Fully funds all 8 camp scholarships

Every dollar goes directly toward helping a child spend a week caring for animals, tending the garden, and discovering their place in the natural world.

🌿🐓 Summer Camp Registration Opens THIS Friday! 🐓🌿

We’re so excited to share that Summer Camp Registration opens TOMORROW - Friday, Feb 6 at Noon.

Campers will spend their days immersed in life on a working farm—harvesting vegetables, collecting eggs, feeding animals, exploring the woods, tackling STEAM challenges, and cooling off with water games. Expect muddy boots, big smiles, new friendships, and very tired (but very happy) kids at the end of each day.

If your child loves animals, nature, and learning by doing, this is the camp for them. 💚
