Wise words from on how to retrain your brain 🧠, achieve anything, and become whoever you want to be.

True, lasting change requires identity change...a process of transformation 🦋 and becoming.

It begins with having the desire and intention to change.

Next, it's time to move from desire to action, and adopt new behaviors that support the change 🌱you desire.

(This is where affirmations are incredibly helpful!)

Once you've determined what behaviors or steps to take to reach your desired goal/result/state of being/identity/outcome, you need to repeat, repeat, repeat those behaviors consistently until they become a new habit. 🤩

Perform that habit consistently 🗓 and it will become automatic...something as second nature as brushing your teeth 🦷 when you wake up.

Double tap ❤️ if this inspired you!

You can be BOTH.

You can be AFRAID of the unknown and also incredibly READY and more than CAPABLE of doing that scary/overwhelming/obscure/complex thing.

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there and get uncomfortable.

(That's where the magic/growth/confidence-building happens.)

All the best things are waiting for you on the other side of your fear, my friend. ❤️

So take a deep breath, trust yourself, and take that first step.

You can handle it. You can figure it out. You can DO hard, scary things!

And know that I'm walking right alongside you, doing things that scare the s*** out of me every day, and I'm cheering you on every step of the way. 💖

Repeat x infinity:

✨ I do enough.

✨ I am enough.

✨ I have enough.

You are not lacking. You are not deficient. You are not defective.

You are enough in this moment, just as you are.

Write these words over and over again.

Place them where you’ll see them often.

Say them out LOUD (like you mean it!) when you see them.

This habit of repetition will retrain your brain over time to adopt a new empowering inner monologue and replace the negative, false beliefs our sneaky inner critic likes to make us think is truth.

And if you need some inspiration and encouragement, check out my Cultivate Confidence affirmation deck at the link in bio for 52 empowering affirmations to help you gain confidence and believe in yourself. ❤️

I didn't think I could love any more than I already do, and then I saw this gem 💎 of a quote.

As a recovering perfectionist, I felt these words so deeply when I first read 📖them.

I only wish I'd come to this realization about 30 years ago...but I always say, better late than never. 🙌

So here's my message to you, dear friend...

Don't let your quest for getting it exactly "right" be the thing that keeps you from achieving your goals 🏆 (or ever getting started in the first place).

As the amazing said, "Perfection is unachievable. It's a myth and a trap and a hamster wheel that will run you to death." ☠️

Just show up for yourself, in whatever messy, imperfect way that may be. And learn to enjoy and savor the beautiful journey of becoming. 🌸

We only get 1️⃣ life...let's make it count.

Some days don’t go the way you planned.

Today is one of those days.

My plan: start my day job at 7:30 as usual and break at lunch to have a painting 🎨company quote repainting our 🏠 interior.

Instead, this sweet little guy got sick 🤮on his way to daycare, and I had to pivot and call out sick.

I don’t know if you’ve ever tried writing while taking care of an 18-month-old but I’d compare that to perform surgery while a monkey is loose in the operating room. 🤣

My first thought before calling out was, Well maybe I’ll just take a half day, and while Noah’s taking a nap I can catch up on some work.

Then, I rethought my original plan, and said to myself, You COULD do that...or you could be present with your son 💯 instead of worrying when you’re going to log on and catch up on work. And you could take Noah’s nap time as an opportunity to rest 😴 and relax since you’ve been so tired the past few weeks.

I chose option B.

And instead of sweating what’s happening at work (that’s tomorrow Rebecca’s problem), I’m car watching, playing trains, reading, and soaking in all the cuddles with my last baby. .

Anyone else feeling ridiculously exhausted 😴 and drained these days?

To be honest, this past month has been really tough on a personal level.

I've been feeling levels of fatigue that have made it hard to do pretty much everything.

It's been frustrating because there are so many things I need and WANT to do ✅...but the energy just hasn't been there.

This month, I've needed some extra encouragement and self-love 💖to power through the tougher days, and bring the energy 💃 and focus 👩‍💻 when it’s been required.

I've also been frequently reminding myself to give myself grace and to allow myself to rest...and that I’m ENOUGH right here in this moment, regardless of how “productive” I am.

These 3️⃣ affirmations have helped me a lot, and if you're in a similar boat 🚣‍♀️, I hope they help you too.

A reminder to myself and to you, if you're in it right now: Keep going. This too shall pass...it always does. Give yourself some slack, and take it as slowly as you need to. Your best may look different from day to day and that's okay. ❤️

are the best mornings. 🍁

I’m still figuring out my new ☀️ as I adjust to the new schedule of getting my kindergartener on and off the bus, and all the preparation that entails.

But my 3️⃣ non-negotiables in the morning are:

✅ Coffee (because it gives me life)

✅ My gratitude practice

✅ Setting my intention and focus for the day with an affirmation from my Cultivate Confidence deck.

Some days, when time permits, I love fitting in meditation and some reading first thing too.

But these are the 3 that really anchor my day and set me off on the right foot.

What are your non-negotiables in the morning?

Wise words from my favorite poet, Emily Dickinson.

What if you focused on what's possible ✨ instead of what's not?

What if you replaced "I can't" with "I will" 🧗‍♀️?

What if you trusted yourself 💖and were your own biggest cheerleader ?

What if you reframed "failure" as a learning moment...an exciting detour on the road 🛣 to success?

What if everything you've gone through in life up until this moment has been preparing you for what's to come? 🔮

What if you're stronger 💪and more powerful than you ever imagined?

What if?

SAVE this mindset reframe for the next time you need a reminder that your possibilities are infinite and you are more than capable.

Never. ❤️

My ultimate hope with the content I share here on my page is to remind you of this fact, to inspire you to live the life you imagine, and to remind you of your infinite capability. 💕

You are strong and capable and WORTHY of anything you can dream up.

And it is NEVER too late to begin something.

It is never too late to choose you.

What’s one small action you can take TODAY to bring you closer to a dream or goal you have for yourself?

Do that thing...if you can knock it out now, do it. Or schedule it for a time later today.

And if it’s something you’re comfortable sharing, post about it and tag me so I can cheer you on.

Always cheering you on,

xo,
Rebecca

“What’s positive, Mommy?” my 5-year-old asked me today when he selected this card from the Believe You Can kids deck before heading off to school.

“It means you choose to focus on the good, and you believe good things will happen,” I told him. “It means even on days when things don’t go your way or you don’t feel your best, you stay focused on what’s good.”

I could see him pondering my response. His eyes seemed to say, “Is there any other way, Mommy?”

Somehow, so many of us unlearn the pure joy, magic, and carefree living we knew in our childhood.

We become harder, we worry about things outside of our control, we stop noticing the infinite good things happening around us and for us every day.

May we all focus on the good and look for the magic as we head into the weekend. Wishing you all a beautiful Friday. ❤️
