Schedule now at www.9crows.com Dr. Jamie Davis been dedicated to the field of medicine for over 15 years, beginning her career with a Master’s degree in medical anthropology from California State University, Fullerton. During that time, she was afflicted with migraines and debilitating health issues, and it was through acupuncture she finally found relief from suffering. It was also through her research in Chinese Medicine that she discovered the root of a 25-year long battle with Lyme disease that had gone misdiagnosed all that time. That experience brought a knowing that she was meant to practice medicine and help others. She finished pre-medical requirements in California while working on her thesis, and moved to Washington after graduation to attend Bastyr University to earn a Master's degree in Acupuncture. After opening her private practice in 2009, in the greater Seattle-Tacoma area, Washington, Dr. Davis has since earned a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, with a focus in research, has an additional 2 year certification in advanced herbal medicine, and has practiced this medicine in the US, Guatemala, China, and Taiwan. Dr. Davis is published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2015, for her work with pediatric encopresis. In addition, Dr. Davis has also published her capstone research on the cellular effects of Acupuncture in her book Acupuncture and the Extracellular Matrix. In 2016, Dr. Davis and her family--her husband Ross Davis, their son and twin daughters--moved here to East Hope, Idaho. Living in the mountains near the lake has been a dream come true--even in the winter with all the snow! They love their community, their children's school, their church and all the beauty North Idaho has to offer. Through acupuncture and Chinese medicine, and her previous training in medical anthropology, Dr. Davis uses an integrated approach to holistic medicine to promote healing, wellness education, and cultural awareness to her patients and community.

Davis is a licensed Acupuncturist and a doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She also holds a Master's degree in Medical Anthropology, and she uses this combined training to see healthcare from the point of view of the individual and their culture. She is a blogger, a writer, and practitioner with the vision of combining science with tradition, while maintaining compassion, education, and self-empowerment.

Happy Birthday Angela! ❤️

Happy 95th birthday to actress Angela Lansbury whose prolific career in theater, television, and film has spanned seven decades! Lansbury is especially well-known for her film roles in “Gaslight” and “The Manchurian Candidate”, her television role as Jessica Fletcher on the long-running detective series “Murder She Wrote,” and for her voice work as Mrs. Potts in the Disney animated classic “Beauty and the Beast," for which she sang the Academy Award-winning title song. Even as a nonagenarian, Lansbury has continued to apply her widely acclaimed talents in new roles; appearing as the Balloon Lady in the 2018 film “Mary Poppins Returns.” In speaking about her diverse career, she says, “I think of myself as a journeyman actress. I will attempt almost anything that I think that I can bring off. It could be almost anything.”

Born in London in 1925, Lansbury moved with her family to the US in 1940 to avoid the Blitz during WWII. She had already discovered a talent for music and theater, and, in 1944, she received her first film role in "Gaslight." She was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar and MGM signed her to a 7-year contract, which she later remembered with astonishment: “Isn’t that ridiculous? I mean, at the age of 18!” For many, she is best known for her role playing Jessica Fletcher, the fictional writer and sleuth star of "Murder, She Wrote," which ran for twelve seasons. In 2014, Lansbury was made a Dame of the British Empire for “services to drama, charitable work, and philanthropy.” As far as she’s concerned, however, her work is a reward in itself: “I honestly consider that the greatest gift to me, is the reaction that I get from my work... To be given that by audiences, individuals, on the street, in the theater, is an extraordinary feeling.”
