Each family we serve has specific goals which often allows us to tailor hours to match your availability, for as little or as much as you would like to work, in addition to many paid training opportunities.
This is an excellent position for college students, retired people, or anyone who would like to make an impact on the lives of a family needing extra help while caring for a loved one.
Positions Available In:
Lansing, East Lansing, Mason, Holt, Williamston, St. Johns, DeWitt, Eaton Rapids
Shift hours vary, primarily shifts are available:
Between 2-9 pm on weekdays (minimum shift is 3 hours long)
Between 9 am-9 pm on weekends (as needed)
Qualifications:
Be a reliable, responsible, and trustworthy individual of good moral character
Possess excellent communication skills and a friendly, positive demeanor
Can work an established weekly schedule
Pass criminal background check and DHS abuse and neglect clearance
Be at least 18 years old
Able to lift 50 lbs., bend, twist, push, pull, run, and use stairs
Have access to reliable transportation and a safe driving record
Complete required training courses in a timely manner
Duties include, but not limited to:
Support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
Companionship and supportive listening
Reading and writing
Following and carrying out directions
Charting or taking notes for others to review
Reporting changes in the health or status of the client
Feeding clients
Administering medication
Transporting client(s) to appointments
