💥⚖️The rights of DACA recipients are under attack ⚖️💥

On June 15, 2012, it was announced that young undocumented immigrants who had entered the country before the age of 16 could qualify for an immigration benefit known as "deferred action." Qualifying for deferred action means that the youth can no longer be deported and can also receive a work permit for two years. Deferred action does not provide a path to citizenship or permanent residence.

Current administration is attempting to put an end to DACA and not allow recipients to renew as their DACA expires. JUNE 18, 2020 — The U.S. Supreme Court issued a decision finding that the current administration’s termination of DACA was (1) judicially reviewable and (2) done in an arbitrary and capricious way that violated federal law.

Whether you are looking to renew your DACA or apply for DACA for the first time, it is advisable to speak first with an immigration attorney. If you decide to proceed with a renewal or first-time application, we encourage you be represented by an attorney or accredited representative.
