Approximately .02 seconds before I stopped “awww”-ing at Lucile as the cutest fall prop and yelling “oh sh!t” as she took a sip of my coffee. Oh my little demon helper, now minimally extra caffeinated. 🖤🥴

Operation Christmas sweater in 24 days is running a smidge behind but my vacation starts tomorrow and I just have the cuff of sleeve 2 and the body to finish 🤞🏽

The Anesidora shawl is out now by and she really has done it again for another advent pattern. It’s such a nice easy meditative knit and cmon who doesn’t loves no ends to weave in. She had me sold with that line alone. For my test, I used my Lord Of The Rings advent that I’ve been hoarding like a yarn gremlin I am but I’m so glad I waited. This knit showcases each color so beautifully without over powering another color.

It’s large without being unmanageable, squishy and light but still a very warm texture. I’m definitely looking forward to making another one.

One hour to appearing in shop. Last but not least, these needle stoppers will be dropping in the shop.

There’s an odd satisfaction to little skulls on needles. Very Vlad the Impaler vibes. The solids are also really fun and the green specifically is glow in the dark 👻

I’m working on getting inside photos of the bags cause I realized last night I didn’t take any picture 🤦🏽‍♀️but they will be in the listings in an hour. 🖤 see y’all at 10 am.

Doesn’t post for months: comes out the gate with two (2) posts in one(1) day.

The bulb/gourd/ pin markers coming tomorrow are in equally vibe colors coming in 40 to a pack in either one color or a mix. I lose these things all the time but they’re seriously the underdog of stitch markers.

⚡️IT LIIIIVESSS! ⚡️

Tomorrow at 10am, spooky bags are appearing on the Open Noceans Etsy as well as needle stoppers and bulb pins.

These bags are making their first appearance after many samples and I couldn’t be more thrilled to get them out there. Designed for the sock knitter/small projects in mind, the Cormorant fits two(2) one-hundred(100) gram cakes at the bottom, needles and crochet hooks in a slim pockets, and a little catch all pocket for snips, stitch markers, or needle stoppers. It has a zip top closure intended to keep everything nice and contained or to keep our yarn goblins (cats). I’ve taken this bag traveling on flights, thrown in my purse to breakfast, and has been proven not too big and not too small.

I hope you love these little guys as much as I do. I’m excited to really get more prints out that I’ve been hoarding and then continuing to develop the next sizes up and variations 😏.

Starting the month fresh with my WIP list and frogged completely on 2 projects, which has left me feeling totally inspired again. I had a really rough month for my mental health last month and ultimately decided to set some boundaries with myself, since I’m my own worst enemy. It is going to take some time for me to learn to slow down and do things for me, because I want to and that will make me happy, not work and hustle aimlessly because I feel I have to be doing something or I’ve been wasting my time.

Had this fabric in the stash and I’ve been wanting to use it for good. I’ve been so busy with work and just life in general the past couple months I never got to prepare bags to honor Juneteenth. At some point I will make a bunch of these and I’d be honored if some folks felt inclined to purchase so we could pool up and donate to a meaningful organization. I am missing the event opportunity today however I also strongly believe the black lives and community should be celebrated and supported at all opportunities, not just February or Juneteenth. So please be patient with me, I’ll keep you posted if you’re interested, and we’ll continue to do the work on a regular day because that’s what it takes.

However in the mean time, please go support some wonderful black makers today, re-educate/correct the history you’ve been told and do your best to elevate black voices and lives in all communities everyday, every opportunity. 🖤🖤🖤
