As Black History Month comes to an end, we take a moment to reflect on this year’s theme, A Century of Black History Commemorations, and the generations of leaders who have shaped healthcare and advanced equity.

At North Suffolk Cardiology, we are proud to be part of Stony Brook Medicine, where this commitment extends beyond words. Across the organization, meaningful initiatives continue to expand access to care, strengthen community partnerships and advance health equity for all.

Our Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation (ICR) program is the first of its kind on Long Island. This innovative approach to rehabilitation offers comprehensive education beyond the typical exercise-focused method found in other cardiac rehab programs that only allow for 36 sessions.

Over the course of 72 visits at North Suffolk Cardiology, patients collaborate with our exercise physiologist, dietitian and social worker to address all aspects of their health during their recovery journey following a cardiac event. Our ICR program has demonstrated outstanding outcomes, which we attribute to the extended number of sessions, the quality of education provided, our exceptional staff and the motivation of our patients.
