Despite what some might think, Deep tissue massage shouldnβt hurt. Itβs about working deep, not hard.
A skilled therapist uses slow, controlled pressure to reach the deeper layers of muscle without causing pain or forcing the tissues.
Slight tenderness or discomfort may occur, but never pain. If it hurts let the therapist know! And no it's not "no pain, no gain." You ain't tough π€
If youβre tensing up, holding your breath, or wanting to jump off the table, itβs too much. True therapeutic depth feels like relief, release, and breathing space for muscles. π
