Wow! I didn't realize I had so many people following this FB page! For those of you who don't know me & live far away (from Wenatchee, WA) , I am a small wig boutique owner in Central WA State. I don't have an online store or usual mail order business. We are a private, confidential shop, with one to one personal service. When it comes to washing your wig, more is not always better.
In fact, washing your synthetic wig too often can actually shorten its lifespan by causing unnecessary friction and wear on the fibers.

So… how often should you wash it?

Our General Guidelines:
Daily wearers: Every 2 weeks

Occasional wearers: Every 10-15 wears (or as needed)

If you’re rotating between multiple wigs (which we highly recommend!), you may find you can go even longer between washes. That said, there are times when you may want to wash your wig a little more often:

•If you tend to perspire more, especially in warm weather or during activity
•If you're going through chemotherapy, as the medications can sometimes be released through the scalp and into the wig cap

You also may want to wash when:

•The ends are tangling more than usual
•There’s product buildup
•Or it has picked up odors from smoke, perspiration, or perfume or even restaurants.

Using a Wig Freshener, Wig Lusterizer or detangler between washes can also help extend the time between cleanings. We carry these products, including, wig shampoo and conditioner and heat protector in the shop! By appointment only! (509) 293-3423. We will deliver in the Wenatchee Valley are too!

Remember, lighting does make a difference. I try to provide a variety of lighting for you when we are trying on colors!

Just a reminder that lighting makes a huge difference on how color will look... so when you get your wig, please look at it in multiple rooms and outside before making a decision. 🩷
