We Do Care

We Do Care, Grief and Loss Supporting young widows, widowers, and children who lost a parent. Many of the supports go to young families, where a parent died.

An organization reaching out to those grieving the loss of a spouse, partner, or parent. Please donate generously and know you are helping a young man or woman be a better parent as they know people remember them. All anyone needs to be successful is one person that cares! Having many people that care makes us all feel better.

We stand next to children who lost their Mom or Dad during their saddest time. When others aren’t sure how to help, we know. Playing is a big part of our program. It is why we plan fun outings, experiences and support groups for the kiddos. Children heal through play.

We are incredibly grateful for this team of women. Owners Sarah and Beth met our Director, Julie last December. They provided a huge donation of $1,000. The lovely ladies said to use it for what was needed for our families and programs. Then they told us each month we can send one lucky We Do Care member to receive a relaxation service. So far the lucky recipients reported a 5 ⭐️ experience. Please go visit them & tell them thanks for their generosity and suooortvof our Warriors.

Sharing Summer art from a few years ago. We truly love exposing our children to art that helps them use their creativity. This fun art project took their original art done with markers on tile then changed the outcome. Using an alcohol spray then letting it go with a flame. 🔥 The participants got to see how their art changed. Much like living after loss, we go through our life changing in so many ways. When your clisestvperson dies you end up living around that loss. We look a bit different on the inside now even though we are the same person. Many children describe it as “life before their parent died and life after”. Imagine if you contributed to a happy childhood “after their parent died”. 2 of our team members bought the trip for 4 to Tuscany, Italy last June at the gala. They are there now having the time of their life. Today was the restaurant cooking class. Julie, Sandy and friend Beth made their own pasta, a quiche and a tart with unlimited Italian wine. 🍷

Our Caring Heart Award winner each year is very special. They commit to raising funds for our We Do Care programs and show they care in many ways. At We Do Care we know it only takes one person to care for a grieving child. That care makes a huge difference. Thank you to .Mark Halvorsen for giving the best speech yet!!! He spoke to how everyone should give in ways they can.

Happy 4th of July! While everyone enjoys family time, cookouts and fireworks 🎆 we pause for a moment to remember all of our loved ones and friends that died when maybe we went ready to lose them yet. If you are struggling remember what should have been, we see you. We are rooting for you. ❤️🤍💙
